Hello and a hearty welcome from the Miller family!

We are excited to carry on the work of Farm Life Outfitters. Here’s a little bit about our family. We’ve been dreaming of working together as a family for quite some time and are hopeful that you will join us on our journey.

Both of us grew up in Holmes County, Ohio, in Amish families. Although we only lived 15 miles apart, we didn’t know each other until our teen years. We got married at a young age and dreamed of moving away to start our family in a new place. When the opportunity presented itself, we packed up and moved to North Carolina.

We are working hard on some new products that we’ll be sharing with y’all over the next couple of weeks. Here are a few hints: They are products we love and use on our farm, in the garden, and in our kitchen.

My youngest son, Sam loves to “check on” all the gardens with me every evening. As we walked up to the potato patch, I said, “Wow, you and Kya must have done a great job planting these because they look wonderful!” He said, “No, we didn’t really even try. We’ve just done it so many times, I guess we’re just good at it.” 🤣 I admire his confidence. 😊

We made it to our first event! Come see us 😊 Lots of awesome booths and the weather is perfect!

Took a break from packing up for Spring Market to pick some strawberries. We can’t keep up with them this year! 🍓What are your favorite recipes or ways to preserve them?

We had a crazy week last week which included truck issues and having to cancel our first event booth in Tennessee 😭

We’re looking forward to a better week and a great Saturday Spring Market just down the road in Mt. Pleasant, NC. We’ll have lots of new shirts and also beautiful products from 🙌 Hope to see you there!!

I bet I have a hundred pictures of this tree on my phone from the past 8 years and I can’t ever seem to capture the beauty of it. It has provided so much…beauty, shade, a place to climb, and a place to swing. I’m so thankful for whoever planted it and especially for the One who makes it grow. 🥰

PS - I tried to lie down in the swing and just gaze up into the blooms until I got nauseous from the spinning 😂🤢

Fresh eggs packaged and ready for delivery in our new cartons from . Local friends…let me know if you want to buy eggs…we have plenty!

Our farm name is Red Roof Refuge and I designed the logo years ago but tweaked the weather vane recently to match the actual one I bought last year. It was fun to put the logo to use, stamping it on each carton.

Shortly after we moved here 8 years ago, my mom and I were driving down the driveway when I said I felt like we needed a name for the farm. Red roofs top all the structures here so she immediately said, “How about Red Roof Refuge.” It was perfect. It truly has been a refuge for our family and our hope for everyone who visits. 🥰

Wasn’t this net supposed to keep strawberry thieves out?! 😜 He found three semi-ripe ones yesterday and said they were “even sweeter than the ones from the store.” 🥰
