Yes.. we know that our healthy meal plan and exercise have a major role in our ability to lose fat... but in this modern world of constant elevated due to office work, financial pressures and relationship issues... and excessive screen time due to phone and TV viewing... SLEEP is one thing that is being hugely affected by our lifestyle.
And this lack of sleep (quality as well as the quantity) by most people.... has major affect on our ability to lose fat. Below are some of the ways sleep deprivation affects our hormones:
1. Increase Ghrelin: Ghrelin hormone is secreted mostly by our stomach, and it signals our brain to seek for food. a single night of sleep deprivation increased Ghrelin levels by over 15%.
2. Decreases Leptin: Now Leptin is a satiety hormone and is released by our fat cells. Leptin levels tell our brain that fat store is enough and donโt look for more calories. a single night of sleep deprivation decreased Leptin levels by over 18%.
3. Increases cortisol : Its a stress response hormone and affects fat burning and Melatonin (the hormone responsible to make us fall asleep).
4. Decrease insulin sensitivity: means ability to consume blood glucose, which then is converted into fat.
5. Decreases testosterone : Its a anabolic hormone responsible for muscle growth. Decrease in testosterone means the body has increased tendency to store fat.
6. Inhibits Thyroid function : and thyroid is master regulator of our metabolism and determines how much calories we would be burning.
And when above physiological changes happen after poor sleep, we tend to binge eat, crave for calorie dense foods, indulge in snacking, tend to miss our workouts, and in general move lessโฆ. And hence gain weight (fat).
A good nightโs sleep is necessary for all the repair and recovery our body needs to doโฆ and to get all the hormones to their optimal levels.

1. Water helps prevent dry mouth.
Water keeps your throat and lips moist and prevents your mouth from feeling dry. Dry mouth can cause bad breath and/or an unpleasant tasteโand can even promote cavities. โ โ โ โ โ โ โ โ โ โ โ โ
2. Water promotes cardiovascular health.
Dehydration lowers your blood volume, so your heart must work harder to pump the reduced amount of blood and get enough oxygen to your cells, which makes everyday activities like walking up stairsโas well as exerciseโmore difficult. โ โ โ โ โ โ โ โ โ โ โ โ
3. Water keeps your body cool.
Your body releases heat by expanding blood vessels close to the skinโs surface (this is why your face gets red during exercise), resulting in more blood flow and more heat dissipated into the air. 4. Water helps muscles and joints work better.

Sleep early to bed makes u healthier and wiser. .
Our brain and body both are designed according to the nature. .
Our body understands a rule that as sun sets it goes into resting mode. Resting basically means no light no socializing no gadgets. .
But if we are stick with our gadgets at sleep time then because of the light of gadgets falling on our eyes our brain and body gets confused whether its day or night? .
And thus our metabolism goes down leading to undisturbed sleep, mental pressure, lack of energy, disturbed digestive track, no progress in weight-loss, obesity n so on
So lets follow the natureโs rule to get immense energy and to stay fit.. .

The answer is YES.
Rice is a staple food of india.
Rice is extremely rich in carbohydrates which our body uses as energy to perform day to day activities..
carbs combined with proper amount of protein and fiber makes it a best meal
For e.g If u want to have rice then combine it with a big bowl of thick Daal or may be if u have biryani then combine it with veggies which gives u fiber and add soya which is again a rich source of protein. .
So avoiding a staple food and going for fancy diet is big no no โ
Stick to ur basics. Make wholesome grains as ur meal plan and loose weight for long term. .
