Fun fact: the taurine in Red Bull could help you lose weight. Studies show that 3 grams per day of taurine for 7 weeks reduced body weight significantly in a group of overweight or obese (but not-yet-diabetic) adults, one can of red bull has 1 gram of taurine. That doesn't mean you should drink 3 cans though, since one can of red bull has 75-80mg of caffeine and 3 would bring you up at 225-240. This isn't like a dangerous dose or anything but it does increase levels of anxiety if not paired with something like l-theanine.
In fact, the best and safest energy boosting supplement to me is a stack of l-theanine and caffeine, preferably in a 1:2 ratio (so per 100mg of caffeine 200mg of l-theanine. It's one of the safest stacks you can get (it's the main components in green tea in fact) with the only side effect being needing to p*e a lot due to the caffeine lol
