Our final episode is here and it might be one of our favorites: Episode 06- The Flame of Love.

What is the Bible's vision for love? If you could capture it in an image, or a poem what would you say? In the closing chapter of the Song of Songs we get one of the best statements of love in the entire Scriptures and its image is that of a flame. What does it mean to burn for love? To burn in love? To be consumed and yet still somehow be safe within the flame?

This is the finale to our search and it both opens us up and leaves us asking more questions. Love inevitably will be a search, but the Song of Songs has undeniably offered us signs directing us along its way.

Thank you for joining us in this most recent study, if you'd like to stay connected, subscribe to our channels, leave us some reviews, and sign up for our newsletter over at our website. We look forward to more studies that inevitably are to come as we return to the Word and encounter God again.

Episode 05 is here and its a big one: Belonging to the Beloved in a Culture of Consent.

If you listen to secular culture right now when it comes to s*x, there really is only one vision: Hopefully you love each other. But the only thing really necessary is that consent.

However the Scriptures want so much more for us when it comes to s*xuality. In the Song of Songs, something far deeper is demanded and desired: mutual covenanted belonging. As we lean in to this vision we discover this isn't just true as we try to work out human relationships, this is actually what God offers us Himself.

So tune in to our podcast, video, and companion study as we continue this search in our study of S*x and the Seach for Intimacy.

Another Monday another episode! Today is Episode 04: Redeeming the Gaze of Love

We've been noticing that one of our biggest struggles culturally when it comes to s*x is how, through all our media (including Facebook) we become objectifying in our gaze of each other, of life, of love and of s*x itself. And as people become objects, we cease to know each other and instead only consume.

But what if we could redeem the gaze of love? What if we could shift from objectifying to adoring? What if beauty could be redeemed as we understand where beauty comes from? The Song of Songs offers us a way to see the beauty in each other as means of praising God.

So join us as we continue our study S*x and the Search for Intimacy, and check out our podcast, video and companion study as we return to the Word and encounter God again.

Today is release day and we're on episode 03: Terrors in the Night!

So far our study has been quite positive about what s*x and what it can do in our search for intimacy. But what happens when intimacy goes wrong?

The Song of Songs is going to give us these scenes where Terrors in the Night drive love apart. How do fears sabotage our search for intimacy? How does fear sabotage our relationships with God?

Check out our podcast episode, companion study and of course this short video as continue to explore S*x and the Search for Intimacy through the Song of Songs

Today is episode and video release day and we've just dropped episode 02: The Rose of Sharon!

This video captures one of the deep themes we're going after in this study. If we're going to understand what s*x has to do with God, we need a theology of beauty that gets past superficial and skin deep constructions to what's really go on when beauty speaks to our souls.

As with each episode, check out our podcast and companion study, as ways to return to the Word and encounter God again as we continue our study of S*x and the Search for Intimacy.
