Tempted by love… Tested by faith…
In the Texas coastal bend, Kevin Sloan is having a turbulent year. Struggling to graduate high school and escape the toxic grip of his home environment, Kevin's life takes a transformative turn when he crosses paths with Sarah, a seemingly ordinary teenage girl with a life-controlling secret.
Sarah Stevenson’s daily battle with diabetes is a hidden burden, but her new relationship with Kevin reveals a love that defies their conflicting lifestyles. As their hearts intertwine, they grapple with all the challenges of temptation, trust and loyalty.
In this emotionally charged story of love, faith and sacrifice, Kevin and Sarah navigate their divergent realities and beliefs. Choices made will ripple into their futures, forging a bond with lifelong consequences for themselves and each other.
From Graves to Gardens is the first in a new series sure to shake the hearts of readers, with special appeal to fans of Francine Rivers.

Thank you for joining us on our new journey and stay tuned for some big announcements coming very soon!
I love this concept of critiquing. Don’t “critique media for what it didn’t do but only for what it did.”

Aimee’s current read.
What’cha reading to bring in the new year?
Decided to post a shelfie. 😝
Found the cutest bookstore on an impromptu family trip to New York City.
Book mail is my favorite! Got this beauty a few weeks ago. Won’t include the contents, as some Ravens haven’t received their boxes yet.
Love this.
With first round betas closing up, our edits will begin and then we will need our second round of beta readers. We have a couple of people who had expressed interest a few months back, but we know how quickly life changes. If you would be interested in reading Divided when our next round of edits are complete, please send either of us a PM here.
Beta reads are rolling in and we are so stoked with the responses and ready to dive back in for our next round of edits on Divided. Aiming to start edits beginning of July.
I know we have both felt this at least once in the last year.
We've started our blog!
Once Upon a Line...or Two Welcome to the wild world of AKWriteStories. A bit of an introduction is probably the best way to start, so buckle up and get ready. Aime...
It felt a bit like Christmas yesterday when I got my long awaited gear from !
Now I can drink my cappuccino in style :)
Calling all reader friends!
Missy and I are getting closer to the next stage in our writing journey. We are weeks away from needing to find some reliable beta readers.
Here is a blurb for our Young Adult Fantasy : Divided.
As a child, Arisanna Lunagarde watched a girl disappear into a mysterious light. When her parents chalked it up to an overactive imagination, she believed them. Six years later, she is torn from her home to Alterria, where she discovers she’s been kept in the dark about her family’s past.
Ari places her trust in Torren, the one connection between her past and present, even when he suddenly can’t remember who she is. Now she must navigate this strange new place while learning that guarding secrets of her own — especially from Edric, the Alterrian High Councilman — is necessary to keep not only herself safe but also Torren, her family, and possibly all of Alterria.
If you would be interested in Beta reading for us, please fill out this quick form. https://forms.gle/P6j7e4dLii54aJjr6
So, we did a thing. We put together a blurb for the first book. Please tell us what you think!

Met my favorite author today. Keep the envelope with the card from the Bravely contest and all signed bookplates in one of the books I got signed tonight. Used the card so she knew how to spell my name and she remembered my picture just from reading the card! Totally fangirling over how extra personal that ended up feeling.
What does your creative space look like?
My writing space has a stack of books and notebooks, highlighters, loads of pens, and a cup of cappuccino.
Busy weekend. Writing conference, editing on Divided, laughing the day away, acting out goofy lines, and even squeezed in a couple write nights!
No desk at the hotel, no problem.
Writing Conference, lots of great information today!
Playing with taglines in between edits. Thoughts on this one?
Best surprise this weekend? Aimee entered an artsy contest put on by her favorite author. Didn’t win, but received a signed bookplate AND a personalized note from ! Totally made my day.
Book one. Draft one-ish. Prepped and ready to bleed.
What started off as a passing of lines between two friends, has become a planned trilogy.
