Empowering Women to become Self-reliant (The Soap making Project)

Our Team in Congo effectively conducted a training session aimed at equipping marginalized women with new skills to enable them to sustain themselves and their families.
A visual presentation of the process including practical expertise, and skills training is presented in order to showcase a successful completion.

Training such as this continues to be beneficial to the lives of the participants, as it encourages women to have control over their lives as well as to recognize their contribution to society.

The participants expressed their gratitude towards the opportunity EWB provides to them as they learn new ways to support their families [as seen in the video. Following the link below]

Due to this demand, EWB will continue to provide similar trainings as capacity permit. Thus, your assistance will enable us to accomplish more!

We don't just talk, we do. We are here to revitalise dreams of the vulnerables. Be at national or intentional level, we are here to support the vulnerables.

This week, our international team in DRC took it to Kinshasa to speak to authorities about the rights of women and young people struggling to establish their sense of belonging. We also took time to visit an orphanage where we heard about their challenges and lent them a hand with some basic needs.
You can contribute to this and make the difference to the lives of the most vulnerables. Head to our website for more information and options to be involved. Empowerment Without Borders www.empowermentwithoutborders.org

Empowerment Without Borders is an international non-profit organization that aims to meet the social, emotional, psychological, cultural, and spiritual needs of disadvantaged and vulnerable people.

The artwork, “EWB Empowering New Generation,” invites all people to support disadvantaged children through donations and participation in the 2023 fundraising event.

In many African countries, such as the Democratic Republic of Congo and Malawi, war and poverty have deprived many children of their parents and education. As a result, these children often end up in rebel groups, drugs, banditry, or early marriages, hindering them from fulfilling their dreams and aspirations.

The artwork foreground depicts two young students writing to symbolize that EWB is committed to supporting both boys and girls. The Congolese independence leader, Patrice Lumumba, once said, “Africa will write her own history, and it will be a history of glory and dignity.” The students’ writing represents fulfilling Lumumba’s prophecy of writing a history of glory and dignity, instead of tragedy and sorrow.
The lamp in the artwork is a focal point, shining bright and illuminating the dark room. The brushstrokes depict light emanating from the lamp, symbolizing the illumination of one’s mind and the unveiling of truth that comes through education.
The four hands that hold the lamp are painted in the colours of the EWB logo: green, orange, blue, and red. These colours represent the pillars of EWB’s work, such as confidence, trust, perseverance, happiness, healing, growth, and passion for empowering the vulnerable. The hands also symbolize the people who have joined EWB in supporting education through donations or volunteering, contributing to illuminating light.
