I love seeing kids eyes light up as they see the loft coming together! They are always peeking out of the door to spy on my progress. Where mom and dad see extra storage space, the kids see a clubhouse or a castle! This garage was particularly tall at almost 15 feet. That meant we were able to set the bottom of the platform at 7 1/2 feet (that would fit an F-350 with a 6" lift underneath!), and still have 6 1/2 feet of space above the lower portion of the loft! (The owner plans to move a freezer up there for easy access) The over-door section has about 5' of clearance. The stair transition is particularly convenient for walking Christmas decorations and such directly out into storage. Message us today to discover what possibilities your garage holds!
I know the pain of a cluttered garage, thats why I created Lofty Ideas! When I discovered how to add hundreds of square feet of storage space to my garage, I wanted to share it with my fellow Utahns!
Excuse my shoddy iPhone recording and the fact that I took the video before the customer had a chance to organize 😅. I just wanted you to be able to see that you don't have to have an outrageously tall ceiling to add a storage mezzanine and park in your garage again! This customer's ceiling was a modest 11.5'. We set the bottom of the platform at 7' (tall enough to park an F-350 under!). That put the top of the platform at 8', leaving 3.5' for storage. For this customer I put in removable front railings for easy loading of larger items, and added a removable aluminum egress ladder for quick access.
