HERE’S A LETTER FROM ONE OF MY YOUNGER CLIENTS… "I don't give advice." That is at the heart of Rick's practice. And yet, throughout the last 6 months of working with the GunterMan, I have received countless bits of wisdom that seemed to be exactly what I needed at each step.
I started working with GunterMan in February 2023, after months of encouragement from my mother to start speaking to someone, specifically Rick aka GunterMan. I am so thankful now for her persistence. 6 months and fifteen sessions later, I can say one thing with certainty- I am not where I was when I began. For so long it felt like my to-do list was unchanging, and now it feels like I am in control to effect change in my life. I am embracing a growth mindset and taking comfort in the work that is yet to be done as well as the work I am actively doing.
I look forward to my time with GunterMan as a check-in on the previous week(s) and also as a time to look forward to the coming week(s). I get a lot out of hearing his experiences and most of all what GunterMan provides is perspective. After just the first session I was noticing differences in my daily behavior and thoughts. After five, ten, and now fifteen sessions, I'm seeing that the things we discuss in our talks are effortlessly guiding me through daily obstacles that previously would derail my entire attitude.
