Get excited for... 🎅 CHRISTMAS MARKETS this Saturday!
⛪️🎄 The Old Tenterfield Church (cnr Logan & High Streets) is the place to be this Saturday morning from 8am - 12noon for a very special Christmas Tenterfield Farmers & Producers Market. Sadly, the regular market was put on hold at the end of October due to many of the local producers being faced with prolonged drought conditions affecting their supply ability. But this weekend, market-goers will be spoilt for choice when 20 regional stallholders come together to make this festive gathering possible. So come along and show them your support!

🍒🥭🐷🥚🍩☕️ There will be SO many tasty goodies to choose from, like garlic (plaits and loose), fresh eggs, veges, stone fruit, mangoes, Christmas hams, cakes, donuts, and good coffee. 🌱💐 You'll also find some really fun non-edible items that would make great gifts, like plants, flowers, ceramics and even scrunchies (fun!)...

🌠 And if you haven't shopped til you've dropped, there's ANOTHER opportunity to shop up a storm at the family-friendly Rotary Tenterfield Twilight Christmas Markets from 5pm - 8:30pm at Bruxner Park (247 Rouse Street). On the night, market stalls will be stocked with a variety of goodies like puddings, cakes and crafts. Face painting and games will keep the kiddies happy, while Tenterfield Tenterfield Live Dream Dance and The Dancing DJ perform. And it wouldn't be a Rotary event without a good ol' Aussie sausage sizzle to fill the spot!

💰👜 Remember to bring along some cash and your market bags to carry everything in.

Tenterfield Transport Museum inc

What a great function venue the Tenterfield Transport Museum is!!

Great catering and bar facilities, friendly service and most important of all a fantastic dance floor - they even have all the sound equipment so I could have just used their speakers etc (but I didn’t!)

Yesterday was my second time doing my stuff there and another great time was had ( by me anyway!! 🤣)

Yet another wonderful venue in Tenterfield!

Currently building transport museum and hold show & shine each year early in April as our major fundraiser

Many children and teenagers who dislike result-oriented physical activities enjoy forms of moving that allow more freedom, such as dance, states the latest policy brief

In bodily expression and dance, physical activity is combined with expressing feelings, social interaction and cultural participation, which creates a multidimensional link to one’s holistic development, learning and wellbeing in the school context.
That is why dance can play a useful role even in preventing mental problems and social exclusion among children and teenagers, researchers of the University of the Arts Helsinki write in their policy brief.

Studies show that physical movement has positive effects on learning. It seems that the best way to boost cognitive performance is to engage in motorically challenging and versatile forms of physical activity, such as dance.

Dancing together with peers also helps build children’s confidence.
Dancing reduces prejudices towards bodily expressivity as well as the fear of performing. All in all, high-quality dance pedagogy has great potential in supporting children’s wellbeing at school.“

Very enjoyable night tonight at the combined Rotary/Lions Christmas Carnival! It looked like the kids (and adults!) had lots of fun!

Spooky, Scary Skeletons, the Macarena and Ghostbusters were some of the favourites! It was a Spooktacular night!
