Since I could guess the climax so it wasn't jaw dropping for me, but definitely Maharaja is one of the most impressively made films this year in India. VJS once again does a phenomenal job. I am slowly being his fan. An actor who lets his eyes do the talking, just like Irrfan Khan did. The film is a masterclass for aspiring filmmakers and editors. The juxtaposition of events and nonlinear sequences will keep you guessing at the edge of your seat. A thoroughly engaging comic-thriller. Highly recommended.
