People collect a lot of things. Bag collection. Sneakers collection. Toy collection. For me, it has always been BOOKS. I rarely invest in bags or shoes like most women do. I will triple-think when purchasing a new pair of shoes or a new bag even though I really like the design or I really need to buy one. But when I see a book that I wanted to read, I always end up buying it even if it were my last money.

I started to love reading when I was 5, I think. My maternal grandparents’ house had a little library before. I was the eldest grandchild and I didn’t have a playmate yet then, so I would just sit on the floor with all of those books and browse them one by one, pictures or not. Since then, whenever my parents would ask me if I wanted something, I would always ask for a book. Or whenever there is an occasion, family and friends who know me well just gifts me with a book that they’ll think I’ll love.

When I had my own money, and whenever I would go to the mall, I would just go straight to either the bookstore or the cinemas. Books have always brought me out of this world and on to a different one. They’ve taught me many new things and help me cope with, well, life. I collect new ones, old ones, hard-to-find-ones and those recommended by my fellow bookworms. Here are just some of my collections that I don’t get tired of looking at. I also collect, Stephen King, Haruki Murakami, Paulo Coelho, Milan Kundera, Ayn Rand and so much more.

I just hope my son will inherit my love for books because that’s just about the most sensible and priceless thing he can get from me, aside of course from my unconditional love.

I am far from completing the books from my favorite authors so if you have any of the books I am looking for, you know where to find me. Just look for that bespectacled girl whose nose is always stuck in a book.

Look what's popular on now, it's ’s .

Comprising two distinct but interrelated plots, the narrative runs back and forth between both plots, taking up each plotline in alternating chapters.

The odd-numbered chapters tell the 15-year-old Kafka's story as he runs away from his father's house to escape an Oedipal curse and to embark upon a quest to find his mother and sister.[1] After a series of adventures, he finds shelter in a quiet, private library in Takamatsu, run by the distant and aloof Miss Saeki and the intelligent and more welcoming Oshima. There he spends his days reading the unabridged Richard Francis Burton translation of One Thousand and One Nights and the collected works of Natsume Sōseki until the police begin inquiring after him in connection with a brutal murder.

The even-numbered chapters tell Nakata's story. Due to his uncanny abilities, he has found part-time work in his old age as a finder of lost cats (Murakami's earlier work The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle also involves searching for a lost cat). Having finally located and returned one particular cat to its owners, Nakata finds that the circumstances of the case have put him on a path which, unfolding one step at a time before him, takes the illiterate man far away from his familiar and comforting home territory. He takes a gigantic leap of faith in going on the road for the first time in his life, unable even to read a map and without knowing where he will eventually end up. He befriends a truck driver named Hoshino, who takes him on as a passenger in his truck and soon becomes very attached to the old man. What appear to be random and irrelevant occurrences and situations are actually crucial to the final outcome for all.

We know you also have your own bucket list. Here's one to add, The Library of the Benedictine Monastery is the largest monastery library in the world. The library holds 70,000 volumes, including 1,400 manuscripts and 900 incunables. Some items in the library's collection were gifted by Archbishop Gebhard, who founded the monastery in 1074. As part of an overall design inspired by the Enlightenment, the ceiling of the library is decorated with seven cupolas, highlighting elaborate frescoes by Bartolomeo Altomonte that display the progression of human knowledge.

Like nearby Venice, and many other metropolises in Italy, Verona boasts a lot of historic places that were standing when the story of the doomed lovers was first performed in the 16th century. In fact, scholars believe that the story was actually based on Italian legends that are hundreds of year's older than Shakespeare's play.

We know you also have your own bucketlist. Here's one to add, The is awe-inspiring for its scope and breadth. As the third largest library in North America with more than 50 million items in its collection, it encompasses 87 libraries serving 3.5 million people across the state. The Rose Main Reading Room acts as the centerpiece of the library, with grand arched windows along its 52-foot walls, and also featuring chandeliers and a gilded and painted ceiling. The library acquired America's first Gutenberg Bible, and also houses collections with a special emphasis on Americana literature and printed materials. Among the most recognizable sites on our list, the library has made multiple appearances in feature films, as a key setting in the film The Day After Tomorrow and as a prominent backdrop in the original Ghostbusters, among others.
