Soft Lad
Kieran Smith (Ichabod Wolf) and Lewis Young (My Pleasure)
A joy to celebrate Tallbird Record Shop's 10th birthday last night with owner Maria, where Happy Clements snapped this winner. Stunning sets from Me Lost Me and May Days in Barcelona. Aside from being a great record shop, it's a fantastic place to be invited to play, and Maria's support for the local music scene has been invaluable. A total treasure. See you at the 20th anniversary?
We're supporting Blondied at Real Time Live Chesterfield in celebration of Tallbird Record Shop's TENTH birthday!

REAL DOGS offers up an electronic reworking of Soft Lad's self-titled track 'Soft Lad' from their self-titled debut album 'Soft Lad'. Originally an acoustic-led number from the Derbyshire-based duo, experimental electronic artist REAL DOGS has upped the tempo and added entirely new instrumentation and progressions.

This reworking (out today) comes ahead of the new REAL DOGS album 'Fragments IV' which will be released via Don't Be Nasty on 19th May 2023.

As for me, I’m looking forward to sharing a bill with indie legend Aza Brown on Friday 5th of May. Aza is hot off the back of releasing his ace album, Exennial, and will be bringing the sunshine for the 6 o’clock set. I’ll be operating under the cover of darkness for the later slot, with a long set of the usual maudlin dross, plus a bonus treat in the form of a full Soft Lad set. Who could resist?
