Phoenix [EP], by The Ventriloquist Mute
I decided to release a 6 track EP version (called "Phoenix") of the new full length album (titled "Revenant") I have been working on with Scott E McLeod, Ian Leinbaugh, and Lucian Jones to satiate your appetite for new music! I'm really super proud of how these tunes have come out and feel like the Ventriloquist Mute is taking big strides with this one.
Any feedback is immensely appreciated! The EP is set up as a "pay what you want" system, and ultimately it's more important to me that people listen to it than pay for it, but whatever contributions are received will go towards the printing and distribution process for the full length when it is released later this year.
Thanks so much to my contributors, especially Scott E McLeod for working so hard to write and record the vocals in such a brilliant and powerful way. I resisted adding vocals to my music for so long, but Scott has nailed a sound that takes these tracks to another level.
As things become more clear I will be sure to communicate a release date, pre-order options, merch, etc. for the full length "Revenant" album that should come out later this year. Hopefully this will hold you til then. Cheers!

At long last, you can experience The Ventriloquist Mute... WITH VOCALS! Thanks to Scott McLeod for his stellar vocal work and Lucian Jones and Karyn Norman for their contributions on keys. I've got a lot more new tracks in the works and it's so hard to wait to share them all with you! This project is coming together better than I could have possibly hoped and may very well end up being the best Ventriloquist Mute album so far. Slow Mo Dragonfly | The Ventriloquist Mute
It's been a while since you've heard from me... that's because I have been recharging my creative batteries and deciding what direction I want to take my music in for the next project.
Well, I have found that direction, and I think you will enjoy it. I'm heading back to a more guitar-centric style and putting a little smoother edge to my sound, specifically by incorporating more acoustic guitar and piano into my tracks.
I have about 8 tracks that are in various levels of completion, with more to come as inspiration hits; with that said I posted a new one, titled "Slow Mo Dragonfly," for you to check out and would love to hear what you think.
