Pumpkin seeds! One of my favourite types of seeds to eat daily. Being an amazing source of zinc, they also pack a powerful punch of of protein and monounsaturated fatty acids.

These seeds are also well known for helping get rid of parasites. When chewed or ground up, pumpkin seeds release a compound called tetracyclic triterpenes, which has the ability to destroy and purge parasites from the body.

Research also indicates that the oil from pumpkin seeds can be a beneficial part of a prostate health regimen.

✅ Here are a few ways you can start including them into your daily food choices:
🔸add to your leafy green salads for some healthy fats and an extra crunch.
🔸add to your oatmeal or homemade cookie recipes.
🔸add to your homemade veggie burgers for additional seed nourishment.

Just like other citrus fruits, limes can be a great source of Vitamin C. It’s powerful antioxidant effects are well known for boosting immunity and can help prevent and treat the common cold. The juice of a lime has been known for enhancing white blood cell function. Limes contain bioflavonoids too which work synergistically with Vitamin C to help:
* lower the risk of heart disease
* improve liver function
* protect against infections
* provide anti-aging effects

Mexican food is so tasty! This dish has got to be one of my favourites.🔥 It’s simple to make, and the flavours are incredible. Here are some steps to follow if you would like to try this one:

⚡️Fill up a medium pot with water. Bring to a boil, add brown rice.
⚡️ (Salsa): pulse an onion, green pepper, jalapeños, cilantro, tomato, salt and pepper in a blender. Add lime juice.
⚡️Prep/cook sweet potato in the oven.
⚡️Add cooked black beans with the cooking rice.
⚡️Combine the rice+beans with the sweet potato, salsa, and avocado when they are finished cooking.

Enjoy! This meal contains a good balance of macronutrients as well as micronutrients. It’s a dish that can keep you satisfied and energized throughout the day. Let me know in the comments if you decide to give this one a go!
