ATTENTION THAI TROMBONISTS!!

We are excited to announce the launch of the Pacific Trombone Project. The Pacific Trombone Project is bringing together the top trombonists from the Asian-Pacific region to collaborate - possibly the first performance of its kind. The artists come from China, Hong Kong, Korea, Australia, Singapore, Chile, USA, and Thailand.

This August we will be performing in Bangkok, at Kasetsart University on August 26th.

Professor Lee Allen will be hosting a fundamentals class at 5pm in Kasetsart University. He will be sharing his secrets to becoming a successful trombonist. Along with Professor Allen, other Pacific Trombone Choir members will be in the room for the student ensemble portion of the class, where we will discuss how to be an effective ensemble player.

Let’s take a deeper look at our repertoire for our August 26th performance at Kasetsart University. We will be performing three pieces for trombone octet.

本來研習樂器的廸生，機緣巧合下入讀HMW。在HMW，廸生似乎也有喜出望外的收穫。

//林廸生於2009年入讀香港浸會大學人文學課程。

在香港從事自由工作多年，以音樂（樂器）教導為主，曾在多個專業交響樂團演出。大學畢業後亦曾參與或協助多個專案的創作，包括多媒體劇場《剎那的烏托邦》文字工作及後期製作、劇場《休止禮》主題曲作詞等。//

The Humanities Programme 30th Anniversary Feature Article ”I Am My Own Home”

Dickson, originally an instrument player, enrolled in HMW eventually but he still got some unexpected gifts here.

//Dickson started his study in the Humanities Programme at the Hong Kong Baptist University in 2009.

He worked as a freelancer, mainly coaching musical instruments, in Hong Kong for years, starting from the days when he still was a university student.
After graduating from HKBU, he participated in some projects, such as assistant in "Utopia, Momentarily", art ambassador in "I'MPERFECT XCHANGE", one of the creators in The Sound Library by Sound Project, "The Inevitable II: the Repetitive", lyricist in a theatre play "Searching for Stillness".//

香港浸會大學人文學課程在1990年設立，2012年人文及創作系正式成立。人文學課程30週年慶祝活動，由本系活動籌委會及舊生會籌辦，為呼應30週年邀請了30組與人創系息息相關的人物接受訪問。
The Humanities Programme was set up in 1990. Joining with Creative and Professional Writing in 2012, the Department of Humanities and Creative Writing (HMW) was officially established. The celebration project of the Humanities Programme 30th Anniversary is organized by the HMW event committee & alumni association (HUMAA). The committee invited 30 groups of people intimately connected with HMW to tell their stories.
