We have an amazing group of mentors ready to support and guide a new triathlete this season. This program is worldwide, so you can apply no matter where you live. Mentorship kicks off on June 1st, perfect timing for a late summer/early fall race!

The goal of this program is to improve the triathlon experience for beginners and to foster an uplifting & supportive community

Program runs for 3-5 months, leading up to the mentee's goal race

Mentees should have less than 3 years of triathlon experience

We are thrilled to announce the next round of Rise & Tri Mentorship program!

Applications for Round 4 will open December 5th, 2022. Space in this program is limited and we fill quickly so mark your calendars and check back on the 5th!

This free program aims to connect beginner triathletes who identify as female, as well as non-binary individuals, with more experienced athletes (all genders) for mentorship and support in their journey to the start line.

We can’t wait for this next round!

We love this new group of amazing mentors who are ready to meet their mentees and support them this year. So excited for Round 3 to kick off March 1st!!

I am super excited and happy to announce that I will be part of Rise & TRI mentor program. I think the greatest thing I will be giving is so much encouragement because...knowing that I will be talking to amazing women in this mentoring program who's interest is in the sport I have learn to L❤VE is a great deal to me. As a mentor I will not be walking in front of her to show her how I did it. Instead I'll be walking along her side to show her what we could do together.

Our Round 2 V2.0 of mentorship was a wonderful success thanks to some wonderful mentors and their mentees!

Our mentors supported their mentees through races of all types and distances from super sprint to Ironman.

Mentee Elspeth said:
“Here’s a picture of me (somehow still smiling) around mile 95 of the Ironman Wisconsin bike course! It was my first full Ironman, and my mentor Kelsey was integral to getting me to the start line and onwards to the finish - couldn’t have done it without her generous wisdom and calm support during the long training months leading up to the race.

Thanks so much for developing this program to increase diversity and inclusivity in our sport!”

As an attendee of the first annual OUTSPOKEN Summit and the most recent one, there were so many AWESOME ideas talked about, but to see one come alive to benefit women of triathlon as well as introduce more women to the benefits of triathlon sport is incredible! Program update!

We WILL be moving forward with another round for 2021, but we are planning to start a bit later in the year, with mentorship targeting
later season races, rather than starting in January/February, as we did in 2020. We are doing this in hopes that things will improve with the vaccine distribution and warmer weather.

Please follow us and check back here in February for updates on timeline and application process for mentors and mentees.

Thank you all for your continued interest. We are so grateful for the support and enthusiasm we’ve received from so many people. We can’t wait to kick off with our long awaited Round 2!

Fund Her Tri is joining the virtual challenge world! Join me for a 12 hour run challenge the weekend of May 16th! Share with friends & family and join the “fun” or ask them to donate!! All donations collected during this weekend will be given to our partner to support their programs for middle school girls ☺️

Sharing more resources as we start another week of our "new normal". Since there are so many resources available, that might actually be a bad thing and feel overwhelming~

My suggestion is to pick one thing during this "season" to focus on and then search for resources that support that.

For example: mobility is a problem for me so I am using this time to up my yoga game and spend some quality time with my foam roller~

We are all in this together! Hang in there!!

💪 TODAY’S WORKOUT (20 minutes): two options of no equipment and some equipment:⠀⠀
🔥No equipment option:⠀
20 minute circuit (keep moving through and then repeat) of:⠀
:30 running in place⠀
:30 jumping jacks⠀
5 air squats⠀
10 raise the roof (shoulder presses without weights - I think I just made that up 😂)⠀
10 bicep curls with no weight (squeeze that muscle at top, both arms at same time)⠀
3 pushups⠀
5 crunches⠀
5 glute bridges (squeeze your butt!)⠀
Rest :30⠀
Repeat circuit for 20 minutes⠀⠀
🏋🏽‍♀️ Equipment Version: Kettlebell, dumbbells or bands:⠀⠀
30 running in place⠀

Having a coach is an investment for sure, but it can be invaluable, especially if you are moving into long course triathlon. For me, having a coach allows me to fit training into my busy life schedule and makes ALL the minutes count - no time is wasted :)

Fund Her Tri & Tri It Your Way Coaching have teamed up to offer a mentorship program for the 2020 race season! Applications will be live by 1 November for Mentors & Mentees. This program is deigned to pair experienced female triathletes with beginners. It will run for approximately 5 months, leading up to a goal race for the mentee. Participation is free of charge! Mentors will be able to share experiences & knowledge, as well as, answer any questions the new triathlete may have. We are very excited to be able to offer this program! FHT & TIYW are invested in growing the participation of women in triathlon, as well as, helping women reach their triathlon goals! Triathlon has changed our lives and the lives of many women that we know so we are thrilled to be able to share the sport with more women & girls~
