If there are any kids aged 3rd grade and older (high school too!), there will be a 4-H Meeting at the Masonic Lodge in Pocahontas tonight (October 6th) at 6:30 pm.

We also have a Cloverbuds group for kids age Kindergarten to 2nd grade!

This is for the Pocahontas, IL Dreamcatchers 4-H Club.

You do not have to own a farm or have livestock to be a member, nor live in the village! There are plenty of programs for most any interest.

Still working!

We hate to be the bearers of bad news but-- there's more road construction headed our way.

The Illinois Department of Transportation announced that, weather permitting, Illinois 143 from US Highway 40 to Illinois 127 will be closed for rehabilitative work of the railroad crossing in Pierron on Monday, August 15 from 6 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Friday, August 26. Both lanes will be closed. A marked detour will be in place to safely guide motorists around the closure.

Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through the area. To avoid the work area, when feasible, use of alternate routes should be considered. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to changed conditions and signs in the work zones, obey posted speed limits, refrain from using mobile devices, and be alert for workers and equipment.
