Mad About Feathers Australia
Welcome to Mad About Feathers, the place to be for all things feather related. We breed numerous different species and will add more over time.
Ranging from
Macaws to tiny little Lienolated Parrots.
We haven't shared these guys before as they are a rescue pair that was given to us nearly 2 years ago.
They we're plucked worse than this and barly had a feather on either of them, We have managed to helped them to grow back a lot of their feathers and get them out of their habit of plucking by way of enrichment and a mixed species aviary so they can socialise with other birds.
The bald parts unfortunately won't grow back as they look to have damaged the follicles.
They are currently trying to steal the nest box we have just built for our Blue & Gold macaws π€£π€£
All we have left to do is stop them sitting in the nest box's π€¦ββοΈ

Blue Moustache Parrots.
We have a couple baby DNA'd hens left.
Well it was a busy day for us
First Shantel fed the baby's being Hand Raised than we fed all the other birds their sprouts than Mark got all his chainsaw gear ready and trimming gardening tools and we went off to help a fellow Aviculturist clean up some gum trees that had fallen in the Christmas eve storm and a friend of theirs
While cutting up these large gum trees we decided to load the Ute with some fresh perches for the birds
