The 2024 Linda Dubin Garfield Fellow Exhibition…
🔖 Pressing Change… A Group Exhibition By Joy Lai, Sofie Rose Seymour, & Felisa Adderley
💡When it comes to social justice, teaching can inspire tremendous change. But when the subject being taught is printmaking, in what ways does the practice also inform the printmaker?
📚In their exhibition “Pressing Change,” printmakers and educators Felisa Adderley, Joy Lai and Sofie Rose Seymour pull from their experience in both worlds to examine the ways the act of printmaking intersects with the act of educating—and how both can be tools to share information and empower communities.
🌟This exhibition pairs the artists’ striking print work with a series of free workshops—sharing affordable printmaking practices with the public they hope to serve. How can the repetition and layers of printmaking become practice for the tireless advocacy and nuance of social justice work?
About the Linda Dubin Garfield Fellowship…
Named after DVAA’s former Board President, Linda Dubin Garfield, in honor of her lifelong commitment of using art as a medium towards bringing people together and building stronger communities. This fellowship track is awarded to a Philadelphia printmaker or collective.

Trump gave an interview to Time Magazine for a cover story titled "If he wins". And his vision for the future could not be further from what America stands for –
He said he would not necessarily accept the outcome of the election.
He said he would use the Military to deport undocumented immigrants.
He said states could monitor women's pregnancies to determine if they had an abortion.
He said he would pardon January 6 insurrectionists.
"If he wins" … We can't let that happen.
Judy Woodruff stated last night that the reporting is, Trump has been on the phone with Netanyahu to convince him not to agree to a ceasefire because that would help the Harris campaign. Yes, that would be illegal under The Logan Act, but that law has little teeth to it. We need stronger laws against private citizens conducting “diplomacy” so that bad actors like Nixon, Reagan and now Trump don’t pull this kind of thing.
