After a few weeks of no artifical nails and anxious nail biting, I finally did a fresh set for myself 💅☺

*Update* I planned to "open" my nail studio in October but with the rise in COVID cases locally and being a busy time of year with my full time job, I decided to pause.. I'm still doing nails for some family and friends but will open when I feel the time is right, or at least better. It's a process and this year has been a challenge but I trying to stay optimistic for what the future holds 🙃💛

Even though I haven't posted much since graduating from school, I've kept up my skills doing nails for a close knit group of supportive family and friends. 🤗

These times have been challenging for everyone but especially not ideal for opening a business... I've been debating on when is the "best" time to officially open. I don't think there is one soo... early October here we go! 🍂🍁🎃

Now that Fall is the air, I can't pass up all the pretty yellows, oranges, and reds 🍁🍂⛅🧣

Also, please don't mind my crooked fingers.. 🙈 you'll be seeing more of them.

I'll be starting with acrylic full sets, hard gel full sets, or gel polish application. I plan to offer spa pedicures eventually but not right now. As much as I want to pamper others, fake nails is the space where I want to specialize and grow in 🌱💅

I had ALWAYS planned to go to beauty school for Cosmetology after high school but after a FORTUNATE series of events, I ended up taking a different path and went to UWEC for business instead. 🙃

Nonetheless, going to beauty school was still on my bucket list.. 💁‍♀️📋💅✂️

As a curious person that LOVES to learn, I started beauty school for nails in March. I juggled my full time day job and school at night and on the weekends. There were lots of laughs and tears but it was worth the journey.

The pandemic threw a few wrenches in the mix 🔧 but end of July I graduated and passed both state licensing exams! Here I am finally posting pictures.. 🙈🎓💅

Over the last few months, I've been slowly getting my business ready. I'm excited to say, I'm ONLY 1️⃣ permit away from OFFICALLY opening my nail studio and side business!!! I mailed the application today - stay tuned 🥰📨

Some Spa Pedis I did this week for our sale ✨

While they both look beautiful, I always recommend Gel polish on the toes! So what's the difference?

▪︎The 💜 shades are a variety of REGULAR POLISH's per the clients request!
- Lasts 7-10 days, longer if you're lucky
- Can easily smudge
- Can take up to 24 hours to fully air dry
- Can easily chip or get scratched
+ You can remove w/out a return visit

▪︎The 💙 was GEL POLISH (extra $7.50) with some cute flower nail art!
+ Last anywhere from 3-6+ weeks
+ Dries/hardens instantly with a lamp
+ Very durable, shiny polish and top coat
- Should be removed properly by a nail tech
