Against this backdrop, the recent climate talks in Dubai unfolded with a sense of urgency. However, European representatives expressed significant dissatisfaction with the draft deal on fossil fuels, deeming it "unacceptable" and "disappointing."

Compounding this issue is the concerning trend of escalating material extraction and consumption worldwide. Over the past six years, our consumption levels have surged, nearly matching the entirety of the 20th century. This pattern, closely tied to greenhouse gas emissions, underscores the pressing need for sustainable practices.
