Deadlifting socks for ladies that lift!

04/01/2021

Happy 2021!! 😘 My sister said something the other day that stuck out to me. She said that we should hope for more than just 2021 being better than 2020. That’s too much of a low bar. We should hope that 2021 will be a good year on its own.
What are your training/lifting goals for 2021?

Time to step up my packaging game. Still in the design process. Colored on my current boxes with sharpies to get an idea of what it will look like 😆. Now how do I draw bar knurling?
Reason I’m revamping my packaging is because I’m in the process of setting up my Amazon selling account to sell my socks through there! I’m pretty excited.
Once I have that set up I’ll be doing 5 giveaways in exchange for honest Amazon reviews to get me started.
Stay strong my fellow powerlifters!

Thank you to for a fun photoshoot yesterday. Not only was she a great model, she has amazing attention to detail. She made sure the setup was perfect-no cat hairs, no wrinkles, etc. I’m so grateful! I’ll post the results in a few days!

Also—I’ll be working on a stop motion animation in the next few days using all three sock designs. If you have fun ideas let me know 😃

They’re here!! The front of these is thicker for maximum shin protection. These are about one inch taller than the previous two designs. Also—this is what happens when your photographer moves across the country—home-made photos come out like crap 🤣🤣🤣.

My personal favorite design. The colors are inspired by the cloudy pnw beaches. These socks are different from the first two designs because these have extra padding in the front for maximal shin protection. I’ll have these in stock in a couple weeks!!

Working on that third sock design today! Wanted to tell you guys more about the process. First, I create the design I want and figure out approximately what colors work well. Afterwards, I go and look through the Pantone Cotton Passport book that has swatches of cotton fabric in the different dye colors. This usually takes me some time since the colors change under different light conditions. Picking the right colors is very important to me so I’m a bit of a perfectionist in this area 😂. It’s a lot of fun though. Stay tuned!

Whale sock will be in stock on Monday! I'm so excited

I wanted to tell you guys the inspiration behind the whale sock. I live in Seattle and a few years back I had the privilege of seeing a family of orca whales. I got so emotional and felt at awe at the beauty and strength of them. There’s different symbolism around whales but to me they represent strength and are awe inspiring. I hope these give you that same feeling when you guys wear them. ❤️. Tell me what do whales symbolize to you?

Amazing photography by .photo with . I’m thinking of naming this sock “Desert Dawn”. Thoughts? Or other ideas? I’m terrible at names 🤣

Working on designing sock #2: the whale tail. The tail will be on the side, just like in my last post. How do you guys feel about the colors? Keep or ditch the stars? Any feedback is welcome!

The start of DLBelle

When I signed up for my first powerlifting meet in May 2019, I knew I wanted to deadlift in a pair of socks that represented my personality and would boost my confidence on the platform. Unfortunately I couldn’t find any sock designs that spoke to me. A few months later, I had a realization that I can combine my passions for patterns, colors, powerlifting and design in order to make deadlifting socks for other women. Everyone should have a pair of socks that inspires and motivates to lift heavier. I want us to celebrate the hard work we put in day after day towards getting stronger despite the hectic life around us. A pair of DLBelle socks will be a reminder of everything we’ve accomplished and our raw strength.
