I’m a wildlife magnet and all the wildlife falls asleep on me and then I name them.

In case you wondering, squirrels snore.
My new album, “In the Pale Cruel Slew of the Moon”, is now available everywhere that things are things.
These four sessions were inspired by the active study of silence and slow change.
I made use of random bouts of weird sleep by following the sound of an owl outside in the middle of the night. Closely observed the sun rising; the subtle changes in light and sound. Ditto with sunset. Good teachers and valuable lessons - glad I didn’t skip class.
Sometimes a recorder and camera were in tow to capture these moments. Notes and sounds were brought back to the studio and transformed into loops and instruments in around and thru the modular synth. Live recording sessions followed reflecting on the material, accompanied by improvised piano, a broken ballast, one stolen mass, a dying clock and a beautiful ghost.
Thank you, beautiful ghost.
