Capturing the spirit of the 1960s in a truthful, yet entertaining way, while being fully aware of the social relevance in today's world, was challenging, but a wonderful challenge.

An entertaining, inspired, socially relevant, timely, broad audience, and reasonable budget feature film.

Less than two years later, together with our fantastic in-house editor we have written the screenplay, scouted location, LOIs, along with writing and publishing the book, ebook, audiobook (with our narrator Stacey J. Anderson, PhD.)

We are looking work with executives, producers, directors, studios, production companies, streaming networks with access to film finance or buyers.

This is the creation story of Bubblegum Sun.

Bubblegum Sun is inspired by actual events of my adolescence during the 1960s in one of many small Lakeside communities just south of Detroit. We took events from the 1960s and condensed them into our summer of 1967.

We chose to set our story in one of many small private communities along the Great Lakes. For our convenience and to accurately describe the environs, we used the one where I spent my childhood. The description and freedoms allowed in our story are real.

The characters and their actions in our story, although fictional, are inspired by real people. The children of Bubblegum Sun are inspired by all the children growing up in a time and place with enormous freedom and unknown dangers.

Together, our characters faced the rapidly changing times of the 1960s, due largely to escalating drug use and the long-overdue assertion of civil rights by those most affected by prejudice.

Only during our creation process did we realize that these same trials and tribulations are continuing generation after generation.

Through the eyes of a fifteen-year-old girl, we unveil this complex story of those times in one summer.

We chose an honest, simple, and entertaining way to tell our story. Now, generations from GenX and GenZ to baby-boomers can find their own truth within the story.
