Each year in the month of June, the Le***an, Gay, Transgender, and Q***r (LGBTQ) Pride Month is celebrated in honor of the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in Manhattan.

The Stonewall Riots, as they became known, were strongly advocating and fighting for the LGBT community. They knew that they needed to be louder and more visible. Therefore, this uprising was a historic moment for the Gay Liberation Movement in the United States.

The celebration first started in the US as “Gay Pride Day” every last Sunday of June, and eventually grew to encompass a month-long series of different events and activities across the different major cities. Today, the month of June is filled with pride parades, picnics, parties, concerts, workshops, and all kinds of celebrations that attract millions of people all over the world.

This month of June, we, here at Pagbago, continue to empower, honor, and celebrate the community.

Never be ashamed to be who you are, for you are loved, respected, and accepted. 🤍

Curious about what our beneficiaries can get from our shining project? Through total received donations from generous citizens, the project beneficiaries shall be getting the following:
Hygiene necessities (hygiene kits, adult and kids diapers, etc.)
Health protection apparatus (disinfectants, masks, PPEs, etc.)
Consumable goods (rice, packed food, condiments, etc.)
Health supplements (vitamins, milk, etc.)

The National Center for Mental Health aims to provide responsive and comprehensive mental health services", thus administering care and various services needed by patients. With the institution's wide range of training and health programs, they welcome everyone who needs their utmost help, especially during a tough time given by the COVID-19 situation.

Unbeknownst to many, thousands of women are being tortured and sexually assaulted in Congo.

This should not be tolerated. People must be more aware of the situation at hand. Read and understand the Congolese Women’s Demand for Justice here. ⚖️

It’s the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. Violence has been one of the biggest issues experienced by women in the Philippines.

We all need to be more aware and educated about this. We should show our support to the victims and listen to them.

The change towards this issue starts with us and making this more known will make a big difference in our society.
