Wwoofing at the Yurt Sanctuary is not all work. Biking, beach walks and hammock time too. A place to rejuvenate while connecting with nature. Grateful for .
My Clematis shows off early September every year.
I’m the luckiest WWoof host ever! WWoofer Eliza & Anthony working hard and putting in the hours early, then off to the beach. My hosting style is work hard early and play hard later.
Grateful for these two WWoofer Goddesses helping out with the chickens, garden and getting sea water for making sea salt.

I guess I jinxed myself when I shared that I was successful at keeping the deer from the corn, but then the squirrels had a feast. 😡 Hope they leave the rest for us.
Stew’s Legacy Garlic still going strong in my garden.
Guys, this year I decided to grow my corn outside of my fenced in garden, because I ran out of room. Then there’s the hungry deer population and I’ve been trying this to deter the deer, which is mostly concentrated mint and so far it works. Got me thinking, I could just put my mint in pots around my corn. Think it would work? I’m just happy that my corn is so far doing great so far.
Sister Goddesses Beach Fun. Life is good! 👅👅Creating pleasurable experiences. 🏖️

What’s going on at the Yurt Sanctuary? We rescued this patch of meadow grass from a construction site, and will plant along the new pollinator garden. Meadow grass is a beautiful perennial that doesn’t need mowing or fertilizing. It’s a perfect habitat for pollinators, increases water filtration and so much more. So, we are bringing it back.
It’s official!! The Yurt Sanctuary is now hosting WWoofers. https://wwoofusa.org/host/50122
Our Milkw**d project was a huge success last year, and this year the Milkw**d again welcomes the Monarch butterflies. During the summer breeding period adult Monarchs depends heavily on this plant as the only source of food for their offsprings. They lay their eggs only on the Milkw**d. Some of the Milkw**d seedlings have sprouted in my vegetable garden, so we have to move them to the pollinator garden. I can’t wait for the Monarch Butterflies to visit again.
Just joined WWoof (World Opportunities on Organic Farms) and we’re about to host our first WWoofer. The WWoofer gets a learning experience and safe place to sleep and meals, in exchange for several hours of help per day with our gardens and chickens. We are so looking forward to this exchange opportunity and look forward to helping our WWoofer explore the Hamptons.
