17 Apps on Google Play Store found dropping banking malware

Security researchers from Trend Micro discovered over a dozen Android Apps on Google Play Store, collectively dubbed DawDropper, that were dropping Banking malware.

The malicious campaign leveraged 17 seemingly harmless Android dropper apps on the Google Play Store to distribute banking malware.

Google blocks largest HTTPS DoS attack ever reported

A Google Cloud Armor customer was hit with a distributed denial-of-service (DoS) attack over the HTTPS protocol that reached 46 million requests per second (RPS), making it the largest ever recorded of its kind.

The attack which occurred on June 1st, started with more than 10,000 requests per second (rps) and targeted a customer's HTTP/S Load Balancer. Few minutes later, the attack grew to 100,000 requests per
second, and two minutes later reached 46 million RPS. The DoS attack lasted for 69 minutes.

Personal details of Akasa Air passengers leaked
Akasa Air, India's newest commercial airline, exposed the personal data of its customers that the company blamed on a technical configuration error.

According to security researcher Ashutosh Barot, the issue is found in the account registration process,leading to the exposure of personal details such as names, gender, email addresses, and phone numbers.
