I don’t have class today, but I’m alone at the house, scratch that Aleng Mila and Ana are also here but they are doing their chores in the house. Meanwhile, mom is at the Genetic Research Center working, since we were away for a few days due to dad's business trip. And speaking of, he went to the Lakeside Cafe to discuss something important with Uncle Emrei, his brother, and as usual they will be talking about business and some stuff about the riding club's monthly contest. And my sister, Katarina, flew back to Scotland for her studies. She's been there for several years to pursue her dreams. We often argue and tease each other when we were little kids, just like other typical siblings, but when she started to move out, I gotta admit, it's quite lonely out here. I miss her a lot. She always played the piano, and taught me some songs. She has a beautiful voice. She left her piano here, in her room, which is now empty and quiet. I decided to go to her room and play her piano. I opened the door and see the familiar sight of her posters, books, and photos. I feel a pang of nostalgia and sadness. I walk to the piano. I sit on the bench and open the lid. I touch the keys gently, and I remember Justin B's song, so fit to what I'm currently feeling. So, I started to play and sing along. 🎶Everybody knows my past now Like my house was always made of glass And maybe that's the price you pay For the money and fame at an early age And everybody saw me sick And it felt like no one gave a sh*t They criticized the things I did As an idiot kid What if you had it all But nobody to call? Maybe then you'd know me 'Cause I've had everything But no one's listening And that's just f**king lonely I'm so lo-o-o-onely Lo-o-o-onely I'm so lo-o-o-onely🎶🎶 I finish the song then took a deep breath. "T-that was quite deep." I heard a familiar voice and I turned and see her standing by the door. "Y-yass! " I stuttered. "I didn't know you have some emo side on you."

I was in the kitchen, frying some pork slices for a special version of ramen: POKENONG SALMON. It was a dish I learned from Chef Angelo, who was our chef in the Kingdom of AL Ashiq. He taught me how to make the broth with salmon bones, soy sauce, mirin, and sake. He also showed me how to spruce it up using Japanese-inspired toppings like nori, boiled eggs, scallions, and sesame seeds. I thought it was a weird combination, but it turned out to be surprisingly good. I was feeling proud and hungry as I cooked the noodles and drained them. I divided the noodles into two bowls. I added some nori, boiled eggs, scallions, and sesame seeds for extra crunch and sprinkled some furikake for extra flavor. I looked at my creation and smiled. It looked delicious and unique. Not bad for someone who seldom goes to the kitchen. "Hey, Bansot, what are you doing?" I heard a voice behind me. It was Yassie, my best friend and the daughter of one of the members here at Stallion Riding Club. She was holding her phone in her hand, pointing the camera at me. "I'm making ramen, Yassie. Do you want some?" I asked, turning around to face her. "Ramen? More like yum-en, ang bango!" She exclaimed, grinning. "Look at you, Greg. You're such a rich kid, have a trust fund, a family with a sports car, a penthouse, and a private jet. And yet, you're here, in the kitchen, cooking ramen like a master. You're so cool!" She said with sarcasm. "Hey, don’t even start mocking me.” “No, I’m not. It’s more like praise!” she immediately answered. I shook my head and chose to let go. “I'm just bored. And curious. And hungry. And this is not just ramen. This is POKENONG SALMON. It's a dish I learned from Chef Angelo. It's very special and delicious. You should try it." I said, feeling a bit embarrassed. "POKENONG SALMON? What kind of name is that? It sounds like a cartoon. Is that what you're watching? A salmon cartoon? Is that why you're so funny and cute?" She teased, giggling. "No, Yassi
I'm sitting by the fire place, while playing in my phone when I received a message from someone via Whatsapp. "Bansot, kumusta?" "I'm playing." I replied. "May nabago ba? I laughed at that. Silly as always. "Ewan ko sayong bansot ka! Hey, kindly tell ate TG may entry na kami ni ate Jassy sa reels niya, will be posting it later." "Alin? Anong ipopost mo?" curious kong tanong. "Wala ka na do'n. Shoo!" I immediately browsed my sister's reel. Hmnn lagi naman 'yong busy, himalang nakapagpost pa. There it is. It was posted few days ago. "Alam ko na yata magiging entry mo sa flowers ateng matakaw🤔" Then I sent her a photo. Drag!
"Look dad! Ang daming shells!" I exclaimed as I pointed the shells I saw that were stuck at the reefs. It's currently on low tide so we basically entertained ourselves with what the ocean floor had revealed on us when there is no water above it. "Dad, can we possibly eat this?" Dad looked at it and maybe think about it then finally gave up, "I don't know, maybe. It's a sea shell so I think it's edible." He answered. "Are you sure?" I asked skeptically. He think about it again, "you know what, let's just eat whatever is being serve by the chef. Let's stop exploring for our own food. If you really want to eat shells I can buy you a tons instead." "And that ruins the adventure dad." "You can't eat that love, it's poisonous. Ang daddy mo talaga ang tinanong mo tungkol dito." Mom said as she looked at me then to dad. "Sweetheart, you cannot eat this kind of shell, a sting from this could immobilized you and worst would be fatal." Dad defended then gave her a smug, my mom just shook her head. "And this one is delicious." my mom said as she took some moss from the sea rocks and ate it after washing it in the sea water." "Sweetheart, huwag baka malason ka pa!" dad yelled but mom just looked at him and exagerately munched the moss in front of dad. He looked horrified and worries but mom just smiled at him. "Relax, it's edible. Mom used to eat this whenever we are on the beach, though it wasn't really often that we are on one." "Okay of you say so." dad said. "Hold on, where's Katarina?" "Hold on, tatawagin ko." Dad sighed.
Dapat nasa loob na ang bride to be. Saffia: (ngumiti) Bansot, thank you sa words of encouragement mo. Siguro nagka last minute wedding jitters lang ako. Tyrus: Sinong tinatawag mong Bansot?
Mula business meeting ni daddy, dinaanan namin si mommy sa research center then we get home. But to our surprise, naabutan namin ang ate kasama si kuya Akio. I smirked. "Hijo, nandito ka pala." Bati ni mommy sa malumanay na boses. "Good evening po tita Khamya and Tito Beiron." Bati nito. "Ako kuya walang good evening?" Singit ko. Iniinis ko lang. Trip ko. "Hey kiddo!" Bati nito na ikinadilat ng mata ko. Ayokong tinatawag na bata. Tsk! "Anong pinagsasabi nito." Nag-iwas ako ng tingin at napasipol. Pa-inosente. "Gosiaco junior, naparito ka? May kailangan ba ang daddy mo?" Tanong ni dad sa seryosong tono. Nagbaba naman agad ng tingin si wolf boy, kung sabagay, my dad always emits that kind of aura whenever he speaks. Kahit akong anak niya would be in tremble whenever he is serious. But good job wolf boy, hindi ka nanginig. I'll guess you'll survive if you pursue my sister. Tsk! I don't know, it's not my business to pry on my sister's love life, and besides, awkward. I cringed.

As usual we had our lunch at Lakeside Cafe and Restaurant. And while eating my dessert I saw a bunch of kids trying to bully another kid. Mom said bullying is bad and daddy said it's not allowed here in the riding club nor anywhere. I carefully looked at the faces of those bullies from a distance and I don't recognize them as children of any of my Titos and titas, so probably they were children of a guest or visitors of this place. Tsk! I smirked.
"Greg, you don't smirk at your food."
"Sorry mom."
"Don't you like the food, son?"
"I love it, dad. Sorry. It's just that-" I looked at where I saw those bullies and that poor girl to somehow help but they were not there anymore.
"Do you want anything else?" My mom asked in a worried tone.
"No mom, I'm good."
"Okay. Paborito mo Naman Ang ice cream kaya nakakapagtaka.
I looked at mom with gleaming eyes, "pizza!"
After a few minutes, dad was trying to settle our bill and I asked mom if I could wait outside as I already felt bored and good thing she agreed.
While strolling outside, I saw that girl again under a tree, trying to stop herself from crying.
I tried to ignore her, it's none of my business. But then, I can't seem to forget how those kids bullied her. Mom says we need to be always kind.
"Tssss, what a drag."
So I walked towards her and gave her my pizza. "Here, you can take it." I said as I offered the box with my left hand while my right hand's in my pocket.
"Ano 'yan?"
I furrowed my brows. "Pizza, obvious naman."
"Ang ibig kong sabihin para saan? Wala akong perang pangbayad."
I looked away from her and felt irritated, "naniningil ba ako?
I answered in an irritated tone.
"Maraming salamat." She said then smiled at me.
"Not that it's my business but I saw those kids bullying you. Why?" I demanded
Peace sis and bro.🫰
