Cut from linen fabric, this ladylike dress features covered buttons on the bodice, which gives it that vintage, ladylike tailored feature. A special shout out to their families for their patience and sacrifices that they have to endure while their loved ones are out there risking their lives to try to save humanity from the virus.
We salute you all.
Mini-d would also like to thank Xoli and her sweet mom, who drove all the way from Amanzimtoti to Pinetown to make a few purchases of our little ladies clothing. She simply could not help herself she says. It’s a surprise gift for her niece in Johannesburg. Thank you Xoli for shopping Mini-d.
The Mini-d story
Unfortunate for me mom could only afford to purchase new clothing for us once a year and that was at Christmas Time. I guess this is where my style emerged, when my mom started allowing me to choose my own Christmas outfit every year from as early as six years old. I know now that I had a knack for choosing the classiest outfit when a few years down the line my best friend confided in her mom saying “I do not want you to buy me any more Christmas clothing unless it is the same as Dawns, so please can you go and get permission from her mom to see what she has chosen for Christmas and from now on you will buy me exactly the same thing every year”. So, every year, I would choose my garment first (including shoes and socks) and she would then come along a day later with her mom to inspect mine in order to purchase the same. Only our colours were different. Hahaha, so all these years she was secretively checking out my style.
BUT Mind you me, when I chose an outfit, no matter what it was, I never went for your normal brand label or fashion trend, my EYE would always fall on the most peculiar or unusual garment and funny enough it suited me to the tee. As I grew into my teens, I would always be complimented on about my dress style and how beautiful I would look which at a young age one never takes too seriously. The older I became, the more I realised that I sure had a different taste in dressing, and it is this unusual style that I would love to bring to all the young ladies out there. A peculiar taste of fashion style.
A style so rare that not many moms choose for their kids now days. I want to introduce a sophisticated little girl. When she wears my clothing she will be a highly respectable young lady, someone who will feel so confident the minute she puts her garment on. When she chooses and wears my style of clothing, whether she attends Church, be it at a party, family event or even a walk in the park, will alter her performances because she will be the “bell of the ball” and the most gorgeous lady in town. There is a saying that goes “when you look good, you feel good”. So let me make you girls feel good about yourself. Pretty!! Let’s start here by slowly moulding our young ladies into becoming confident, independent and self-respectable little ladies remembering that the world is her stage.
