Turned out to be a lot of work just to replace a beam and build a 12x9 deck. Had to jack hammer out footings that were submerged in water. This is what happens when the previous builder pours their footings 12" above the frost line. I also recommend using something larger than a doubled up 2x8 to carry a structure such as this.

Added 5' to existing deck, new MoistureSheild composit decking, new Timbertech composit railing, Azek trim, pine car siding, added stairs w/landing, and added roof! It was a challenging job, but knowing that my customers were satisfied, makes it all worth it!

Total rebuild! Extended from 10' to 12' out from the house.

Just finished a chainlink fence for a repeat customer. They're always satisfied! In a couple of weeks, I'll be heading back to put a skirt around his deck.

That's a big ol deck! The transition from the driveway to the deck was spot on! Don't mind the temporary handrail, the customers "may or may not" remove it when the inspection is completed.
