I’m closing a few days before our trip to try and get out as many pending orders as possible but the closer you order to the 7th the less likely your order will ship before we leave and it will then go out when we get back.

Happy weekend everyone! I finished the first of what I know will be many from

I used a mystery fabric for this first one that I’m pretty sure I got from fabric.com years ago and though I think it’s very pretty I could NOT get it to iron the wrinkles out lol. So it’s now a design feature. 💁🏻‍♀️

I’m petite at 5’2” so I had to shorten the straps on this about an 1 1/2 inch, the bodice about 1/2 inch, and the skirt 9 inches. (Though that was partly because I didn’t have very much fabric!)

I was absolutely thrilled to be able to make it up for the book launch party this evening. Everyone looked stunning and I had such a fabulous time meeting everyone. I definitely didn’t take enough pictures! 🩷

I can’t do sales too often but I really appreciate you all so much and I FINALLY got my new print system up and running 😮‍💨 so let’s do 15% today and tomorrow!! 🥳🥳

I finally got the chance to wear the I made at the Charm retreat last September. This dress jumpstarted my sew-jo again after a period of not making much, I was frustrated with sewing after gaining quite a bit of weight the past two years. Thankfully the Charm team made fitting make sense and I realized you should fit the clothes to your body, not your body to the clothes 😉

I had a fantastic vacation and was even able to refresh the website a bit. No major changes, just a color palette refresh (to some of my favorite colors) and I FINALLY redid my logo a bit to give it more overall retro midcentury vibes. The scissors are actually based on a pair of midcentury scissors I own!
I also retook most of the product photos so that they all match a bit better.

Quick post to let y’all know I’m taking a 2 week vacay at the beginning of September!! I know this is a longer than usual break so I apologize for the inconvenience!!

During my break I’ll be working on the website fixing some things up and re-doing some things (don’t worry, no price changes!) and I’ll also be attending the September Charm sewing retreat which I’m very excited for! 🪡

The Plotted Pattern website will be closed during this time as I don’t want orders to back up while I’m away. I WILL ship out any orders made before I shut the site off and get those out.

Not Barbie sadly but definitely a fantasy sewing project- finished! A few months ago me and Mr. Plotted Pattern started rewatching Outlander and I decided I NEEDED Claire’s red dress. Well it sat finished except for the hem for a couple of months - hem procrastination is real y’all.
I know the bodice fit could be better, this fabric was not friendly, but since I’ll never really wear it anywhere I think it’s ok.

Happy Friday! Y’all may have noticed the pricing on the instruction sheets went up from .10 a page to .20 a page recently. I finally gave in and got a new printer for those! But the good news is that it’s a higher quality printer 🥳 and I think the prints are coming out beautifully.

Ohh la la! I’ve been wanting to make these from since they came out in February (hence the heart fabric ❤️) but since I’m extra and like matching sets I put it off because I’ve never really made lingerie before. Well I decided to just do it and I’m now ✨obsessed ✨
I will say please don’t look at my stitching too close 😂 My Juki is a straight stitch only so I had to pull out my old babylock and well, she did the best she could lol.

Gertie of course always has amazing instructions and videos. So the Vargas was easy peasy.

Hi! I’ve had so many new lovely people come through lately (I’m looking at you Love Notions FB group 😁) I thought I would do an introduction post! Honestly I don’t think I’ve ever done one 😂

I’m Christi! I started The Plotted Pattern back in Oct ‘21 with the help of this handsome fella, my husband Kevin. I’m a small home-based business in Newnan, GA. I’ve been sewing for over 20 years and was disappointed in the options I had to print PDF patterns (I just wanted to print my Gertie Patreon pattern every month and not have huge rolls of paper!!)
So TPP was born! I’m hoping to update some info on the website soon and do some more YouTube videos but between orders I do have a house full of teens, a tween, and a two year old! 😂 so sometimes those things take the backseat.

I didn’t actually make any part of our costumes 😂 but hey sometimes it plays out like that.

A few updates! I’ve added plain copy paper as a print option. If you need a less expensive option, this is it!
You’ll also notice I did have to slightly increase the prices of the other two papers (something I’ve needed to do for about 6 months) Buying the translucent and tissue paper has gotten more expensive for me and I’ve put it off as long as possible.
Also I’ve eliminated the color option and will now print your pattern in color if it comes that way! (I can not add color to b&w prints)

I’ve also added a smaller booklet option but please note the print in those is quite small and there is a margin around all pages that I can’t change.

As always there is no minimum order! 🥳

I’ve been a bit MIA on social, I haven’t had much time to sew lately (see next slide for one of the main reasons why) and The Plotted Pattern has taken over my sewing space! 😂 but since we have grown so much this past year we’ve actually been building a new bigger space to move into. It should be ready in a few months!! 🥳🥳

I went a little different style-wise on this make. I wanted something easy breezy for our trip. While it was pretty easy I kinda feel like it might be giving ✨hospital gown✨😂🤦🏻‍♀️

I probably should’ve sized down and also maybe not have used this color. Either way it’s still comfy and it’s 96 degrees in GA today so I’m wearing it. 😁
