My Colorful World by Helen Evans
My coloring journey I started coloring about 5 years ago at the advice of my Therapist. I found them to be comforting. That is when I discovered coloring groups.
I immediately found my self with a purpose and drive I had not had in a while, In the beginning, I did mostly flowers and bible quotes. I then decided to start coloring angels which led to coloring whimsical images by artists like Julia Spiri and Sherri Baldy. A whole new world opened up for me. Being homebound I don’t have a chance to meet people or have friends. I found that all in the coloring

This is a very special drawing from Derya Draws. She created this for me. I wanted to do something special for my granddaughter Aaliyah who turned 18 yesterday. I have had the privilege of raising her for most of her life. I wanted to give her something unique!
I used Mitsubishi Uni pencils, CD buff titanium. Zest-it, Gel pen, Palette pastels, and pan pastels. I am also posting the pic I sent her.

‼️ FAKE PAINTINGS - COPIED DESIGNS ‼️
My popular Swirl Spirits series I did some years ago - I worked hundreds of hours on these designs to create them, but all my creativity and soul into these pieces to make original artworks. Isn't that what a professional artist should do - create original ideas!?
But here we go again 😡 there is somebody, celebrating herself as an artist and president of an arts council, just copying my paintings and selling them as originals!
I am so sick and tired of these people: just a few days ago I wasted my time reporting illegally shared images out of my books on Pinterest, and I am not even done yet - this happens too often. I don't understand how these people can sleep at night!!
Feel free to let everyone know and comment, so people like her will think twice before doing it again!

A whole new world opened up for me. Being homebound I don’t have a chance to meet people or have friends. I found that all in the coloring world. My family noticed a huge change in my mood and they were so happy I found something I love to do. I started to watch coloring tutorials by Belinda, coloring with the faithful girl, and have now expanded my skills. I am so thankful t have this hobby and all the new friends I have made. I started this page to show my artwork and one day I would like to post tips on things I have learned, maybe do some book reviews.
