Water temp 37 degrees
Blue gills are moving to shallow water (3-9ft) . North sides of the lakes where the sun is most persistent this time of the year, success has been found on slow sinking or floating fly baits tipped with wax worms and spikes . Perch have been found in deeper water in sandy bottom areas with the most success on anchoring with a vertical presentation and wrigglers or emerald shiners as choice bait . Crappie have been biting on same as blue gill method but with a faster sinking fly jigs . Bass as the most of the fish are still lethargic from the cold water and slow presentation has been a good choice with darker colored rigs for all species as a go to
