I am beyond proud to announce the launch of SQE CARES, a new branch of SayQuoi Entertainment providing hope and goods to unhoused and underserved communities.

We first began in 2020 with the assembling and distribution of Hope Bags (bags of food, toiletries and anonymous messages of love and hope) to inhabitants of LA’s Skid Row.
Now we’re BACK, with a whole new vibe, and an enhanced mission.

Hope Bag donations for our 2023 drive are OPEN, as are inquiries to become an SQE CARES volunteer and/or Hope Bag Collaborator!

What the Heck’s a Hope Bag?!
🛍 Hope bags are bags that we fill with food, clothes, toiletries, COVID-friendly materials, and anonymous messages of hope and love that we distribute to Los Angeles’ houseless community.

What You Can Do:
💴 Help SQE acquire the goodies by sending a donation to Venmo handle -Thompson.
👚 Send any clothes, toys or canned goods you’d like to give (address to be provided).
🙋🏾Email jenae@sayquoientertainment for more info on how to become an SQE Volunteer to help assemble and distribute Hope Bags

: Alrighty all—signing off once more for at least a few days, as I’m going into surgery for Fibroid removal tomorrow morning! 🤯

It’s been a long time coming, and while I know I’m in good hands and that God’s got me; I’d be a liar if I said I wasn’t nervous or even scared.

: I might catch some hate for this one.. and if I’m keeping it buck, this is something I struggle with as a person who is a recovering people pleaser with a servant’s heart… 👀 👀😬
Any situation, relationship, business deal, etc. that makes you feel like you’re walking on eggshells any time you advocate for yourself or set boundaries is not 👏🏾 for 👏🏾 you 👏🏾.

🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩

You shouldn’t always be accessible.
No should be a final answer and require little-to-no explanation.
Your feelings are valid, and should not be malleable to everyone else’s comfort levels or push for productivity.

Now, does that mean you get to take no one else into consideration ever?
That it’s your way or the highway 24/7?
That you get to steamroll folx and have a stank vibe? 😆

No, babes.

Be humble. Be kind. Be professional.

But understand that you won’t show up for what matters to you and for the folx/endeavors that need you at your best if you’re not showing up for or honoring your own needs on a daily basis. When you garden your inner joy and inner peace, you cultivate an aura that is irresistible. You instinctively add value, because you value YOU first.
The right ones will see your level of self-respect and raise you a relationship-based experience that you’ll all cherish for years to come, even if it doesn’t ultimately work out.

: Anybody else tend to feel guilty setting a personal or professional boundary, and then following through with it? 👀👀👀👀
It’s MAD uncomfortable, but as the saying goes— setting a boundary and taking a step back are actions that preserve a relationship, not actions that show you’re done with a person or a situation.
Communicating that you need to take a beat actually shows that you CARE, and want to be an active participant in growth.

: 👀 😱 The 4 Most Common FEARS I Hear from Clients, About Making Short-Form Video Content:

1) If I go too hard with my “sell”, I’ll lose people—but I need to scale, and fast! 🤦🏾‍♀️
2) I…have NO idea how to make these trends and platforms work for my brand! 😬
3) If I lean *toooo far into what’s “trending”, it’ll cheapen the brand and I won’t be taken seriously as a professional. 🥴

➡️ But it does have to be REAL, consistent, strategized, and make sense for what all your life offline entails.

🪄 The trick is taking one solid, valuable piece of content and “Loaves and Fish”-ing it, babes. Split that ish up, and feed thousands! 🎥 =🍞\🐠

💰 Fact is, you’re leaving money on the table by not doing it…. And most, if not all, of the fears I mentioned that I hear all of the time can be eradicated with a strong mix of time management/auditing, CONFIDENCE, and ✨ coaching ✨

⚾️ Breathe. In through the nose, out through the mouth. Feel the depth of a deep, belly breath. Let it all go.

⚾️ Try, try again!

It’s wayyyy too easy to get into a unproductive, and often destructive, cyclical thinking that keeps us from evolving and keeps us dormant in situations and relationships that keep us miserable and doubting our worth/what we’re doing with our time and talents.

But BAYBEE—release that white-knuckle grip. No matter what you do, it was because you were meant to do it. You can’t make the “wrong” choice. You can’t really be “stuck”.

Do your best, sharpen your discernment-but, understand that what will be, will BE.

You are not stuck.
You are never stuck.
The move is yours to make. So, make it. ☺️💙

: I think about this before I try to pray or manifest more into my life. Am I doing my due diligence with what I already have?
If all received more, would I be ready for it? Would I know what to do with it? Would I be wise with it?
Am I asking for it because I know in my soul that I’m ready to level up, or am I playing the comparison game and trying to expedite blessings because I am too focused on what I perceive as abundance in someone else’s life?
…and what’s wild is—some of the time, the answer for me is a resounding “NOPE” 😂
When that happens, I know what to focus on and which areas of my life need attention. ☺️

That’s not to say you aren’t important, or that you’re not the master of your own destiny.
That’s just to say that very few things in life are actually linear, and you might not feel as though you’re in the limelight or shining as brightly for a reason. Things might be going at a slower pace, or not going your way for a REASON.
This might be a period of rest—the calm before the storm. This might be a time for you to learn more—to feed yourself physically/spiritually/financially/emotionally; rather than be fed or sewn into.

I don’t think we talk enough about the sadness that can come when you’re experiencing life shifts all at once; with the intention of elevation…. And that’s true personally or professionally.
Once you’ve decided to prioritize your own peace, and elevate whatever you’re doing—you’ve also then decided to adhere to the understanding that, that decision is gonna cause a lot of people and comfort habits/things to drop off. There’s a mourning about it that should be normalized.
Go ahead and grieve it, sis…but know your life and your business will be all the better for you doing the work of cutting away dead roots.

It’ll be worth it. 💙

: How much of the dissonance and conflict in your life/ business is actually…not real? 👀

The amazing thing about having an active imagination and a strategic mindset is that it propels you forward once you have a clear plan of action or a clear desire. The downside is that it’s too easy to let insecurities and possible outcomes become more real to us than our actual reality and more at the forefront of our worldview than our blessings, talents and accomplishments.

If that’s you, put yourself on a quick time out. No shame! Just.. a time out to shift your perspective.
Reacclimatize yourself. Snap back to reality.
Turn down that volume/frequency.
Make moves to be able to eventually turn it all the way off.

Don’t let your insecurities be louder than your blessings.
Don’t make time for that.
Don’t shrink.
Your business, clients, followers, family, friends—YOURSELF all need you at your most grounded, robust and confident.
Let it go.
Turn it off. 💙
