Who remembers episodes the mysterious Somerton Man we talked about in episodes 319 & 320?

Well… 73 years later, Dr. Abbott finally identified the dead man found on December 1st, 1948 as Carl “Charles” Webb.

This identification came after Dr. Abbott was able to take 50 hairs that had been preserved in the cast made of the victims face. After creating a family tree that spanned over 4,000 people, they were able to find a distant cousin of Webb.

While little is known about Webb, what we do know is that he was born in 1905 in Victoria and had worked as an electrical engineer, instrument maker, and an avid poetry writer. They also learned that his sister, who lived near his home in Melbourne, was married to a man named Thomas Keane (remember the name on the laundry bag found in his suitcase?!?!). Webb was married to Dorothy Robertson, however he left her in 1947, and that at some point she filed for divorce and by 1951 had moved to the town of Bute, South Australia.

There is still so much unknown… We know WHO the Somerton man is, but there is still so many questions on HOW he die. This is just the beginnings of the justice finally being served for Charles Webb.
