Cowdh(God's most intimate friend like Abraham) ,the highest calling for a saint in the new testament Jesus established,Prophets being God's servants(Jeremiah7:25) Cowdh are more elite than prophets(John15:15),God discloses everything to Cowdh (John15:15)but,only fractions to prophets(1Cor13:9)

What a major prophet in any generation suffers is a prophecy to that generation and whatever events happening to the prophet is what shall surely happen to that generation. God watches over His Word to perform it and does nothing under the sun without telling it to His servants,the prophets.
