Rolling Acres Farm - The Bomar Family
Faith, Family, and Farm are the big three.
We had to bring this one’s momma in the barn because she got a little knocked around in the pasture. Curtis jumped on the opportunity to work with her calf, Coco.
We are excited to see what Coco will do in the future.
Millbrook Fireball x Style x No Foolin’ (Ultimate Reward)
Great news from the Tennessee FFA State Convention!
Jonathan - State Winner in Fiber and Oil Crops
Dallas - State Winner in Diversified Ag
We are very proud to have you both here on the farm.
P.s. Enjoy the rest of your time at Gatlinburg! Kevin has spent the week finding things for you to do. 😂
I love it when the babies start to expect the feed in the creep feeder.
Love waking up in the morning to see new babies. Molly’s plus bull calf out of Fuel Your Instincts is up and ready to greet the day. There may be a fight between brothers as to who will get this steer.
TN Agribition 2024
This was our first time out this year.
Both Dolly and Tater Tot got first place in their respective class.
Now to get two more to carry to the Spring Klassic and AGR show next weekend.
We brought in Tater Wedge and cleaned him up a little this morning. This September Byland Flash x Red Sensation bull calf needs to find a home where he can mingle with some future girlfriends and add some splashes of color. He weighed in at 592 today.
We are always thrilled when a heifer figures out her role as momma on her own. This Ronan bull calf was not due for another week and he is living up life BIG!
The newest little Piglet arrived on the farm today!
Proud of you, Jonathan, and all your hard work!
Happy February! This little girl is brand new and well loved. ❤️
New babies for 2024 are hitting the ground and what a great way to start with this Fireball x No Foolin plus heifer.
Snuck the two heifers into the weaning pen this morning. They figured out where the feed bunk was pretty quick.
Our hometown, Henry County Fair, heifer show was good to us today.
BR Mattis (Scarlett) - Champion AOB
Tater Tot - 2nd in class
Dinky - 4th in class
Dallas - 2nd place senior showman
Curtis - 4th place Junior showman
Silas - 1st place peewee showman
Kevin and Dallas are at Farm Fest teaching the county’s 5th graders all about cotton.
One week old today!
Good mamas and sunshine make baby calves happy.
Treating seed with biologicals.
Pioneer white corn seed plot planted.
Planting is in full swing, why not add hay into the mix, too?
The newest heifer dropped this afternoon. We are pretty excited about this Fuel Your Instincts baby. ❤️
Newest baby on the farm. We were hoping for a bull calf out of this crossing but are tickled pink about this fuzzy, little commercial heifer.
She is out of Dallas’s I80 cow and Hunter Biden’s Laptop.
Cleaned up one of our consignments to the Tennessee Agribition. She has really blossomed since her catalog picture. We think she is going to add a lot of cow power to someone’s herd.
Check her out in Lebanon, Tennessee, March 10-11.
When this Byland Flash baby hit the ground, he figured out he has legs and is going to use them. His super mom really thinks he ought to stay put so she doesn’t have to worry about him.
In five weeks, these lovely ladies are headed to TN Agribition! We are super excited about our first consignments and hope to see you there.
If you would like to chat us up about these heifers, please give us a holler. The boys’ names are listed as the contacts in the sale catalog but Shannon can answer your questions, too. (Kevin, maybe, not so much 😂)
The first babies of 2023 have hit the ground!
Both are bulls and solid red.
The weatherman is calling for ice tonight and we have two girls that are about a week from their due date. They are all tucked in and I am super thankful for technology to be able to check on them from my warm house.

We are dancing for joy and praising Jesus for the hope of a Byland Flash baby next fall out of Curtis’s Bella.
Just a little winter wheat shining in the sun this morning.
It sure is pretty to see these pretty green fields in the winter time when most everything else is brown.
It is official! Cotton harvest 2022 was wrapped up at about 11 o’clock last night.
After 3 months of picking cotton that had been frosted on, equipment problems with the pickers, and some of the best yields we have ever picked, it is finished!
Now to move on to 2023 crop planning.
