Handle your business drivers! Don’t neglect your fuel or maintenance management. I was talking to a youngin at a truck stop and he was fueling up at loves with NO FUEL CARD. Man he was probably losing about $400 per month, uhh that’s a cell phone bill! Trailer note, light bill, food, whatever! $400 is $400. Do the math, over 6 months that’s $2400 😐

Previous post reminded of this. Sometimes the brokers are off on the dimensions, sometimes I feel like “shiiiit, I’ll make it work” 😂 this was one of those times.

Ok so, The PVC in the front was my first pick. Now when searching for another load to run with it, I took a chance on a bundle of pipe that I knew would “legally” be a tad bit long but It paid great and I needed it.
Why did I take this risk? Well understand this.
When booking loads, whether you or your dispatcher, consider every factor. Dimensions, Shape, stackable?can it be moved after loaded etc ok?
Ask as many questions as you can before you sense the urgency of the brokers.
So questions I asked?
1) length?
2) width
3) how many pieces?
4) are they all the same size?
5) What’s the diameter of the pipe?
6) will they bundle it for me?
These were all things I needed to know because if it all checked out, my plan as you can see the ex*****on shown above, was to have the pipe bundled and to shorten the length, put a fraction of the black pipe INSIDE THE PVC. I used dunnage to prevent black pipe from touching PVC. Strapped down heavy and with the help of some great fork lift operators, IT WORKED💰💰💰
Don’t forget to offer tips or lunch to the fork lift drivers who stay late, move freight, and just go the extra mile for you so YOUR business can succeed.
I thought I was the king of making it fit but I will admit... I never thought to put a motorcycle in the back of a pickup truck I was hauling ever 😂
