I’ve been refurbishing vintage furniture for many years but professionally for going on 8.
I’ve learned many valuable lessons through experience. 2 that stand out as rules of thumb.
1. Furniture sales are low during the “J” months, January, June and July.
2. Chest of drawers don’t move quickly regardless of the month.
So here I am with a chest of drawers in July 😂

Anyway, my offer is this, it’s been reduced to $250 OR I will repaint it in your color of choice for that price plus the cost of paint which would be $15.

This sweet trunk or Hope Chest has been through many different phases 🥰

I knew right away I wanted to brighten her up and add these precious wooden beads to adorn her.
The bottom scalloped skirting fits right in with the French Cottage feel and then adding the sweetest floral stencil to the face of this beauty just topped it off.
I’m not going to lie, I had the best time refinishing this piece that is made of knotty pine.
It’s nice and deep so it’ll store lots of blankets and or pillows!

I’ve had a couple pieces come in to my workshop and I really need the space.

I am so thrilled that found another roll of my pretty drawer liner to add to this vintage chest of drawers.
I thought I was out and it makes me sad when I can’t add the little touches. I could have gone to get different paper but this paper is vintage too. When I found several rolls of it at an estate sale years ago I was thrilled! It really helps to add that vintage charm.
I also decided to add just a few touches of antiquing glaze to the crevices of the curves.

I used Joanna Gains color “Gatherings”.
It’s a beautiful white that leans towards an oatmeal color so it’s perfectly neutral.
I use Oil Rubbed Bronze on the hardware which is a soft, shimmery black.

This paint is perfection and lends itself well to a wiping down with a soft damp cloth for any clean up that might be necessary.

I can hold short term with prepayment.

Just because I’m not turning out as many personal inventory pieces does NOT mean I’m not busy.
I can’t even tell you how many hours I’ve put into this one.
Hutches are ALWAYS a big undertaking but this one especially because the shelves are not removable and built into the sides, not the back.
My client will be seeing the debut of this here for the first time!
I’m so grateful she wanted to use a Joanna Gaines color because otherwise I wouldn’t know how much I love her paint.

I had the privilege of refinishing and preserving a lady’s grandmother’s sewing cabinet.
That natural wood is so beautiful!
I also refinished a hutch for her and will share photos of that as soon as I receive the hardware.

I do believe I’ve found new favorite line of paint.
Dries so smooth, super durable and a great finish that will allow for you to wipe down your furniture with a soft, damp cloth.
