âGive thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.â (1 Thessalonians 5:18 ESV)
âOh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!â (Psalm 107:1 ESV)
Hi this is JT and I am writing this devotion for my mom.Iâd like to write this devotion for the children of all ages.we pray that your children open their hearts to Christ our savior.we also pray for their protection and safety.children, please put god first than parents and love others as Jesus has called you to do.
God bless all the little children.Amen.
â¤ď¸Itâs From Godâ¤ď¸
âFor by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God.â (Ephesians 2:8 ESV)
âAnd after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.â (1 Peter 5:10 ESV)
âWho saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began.â (2 Timothy 1:9 ESV)
â¤ď¸Letâs Get Excitedâ¤ď¸
âFor the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.â (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 ESV)
âTherefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.â (Matthew 24:44 ESV)
âBehold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay each one for what he has done.â (Revelation 22:12 ESV)
â¤ď¸We Are Christâs Church who are Called to Help Those In Needâ¤ď¸
âDo not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.â (Hebrews 13:16 ESV)
We are the Church! Brothers and sisters in Christ, we have been called to help those in need. What are we actively doing in our faith to help people daily?
âBear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.â (Galatians 6:2 ESV)
âGive, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.â (Luke 6:38 ESV)
â¤ď¸An Explainable Peaceâ¤ď¸
âI have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.â (John 16:33 ESV)
âPeace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.â (John 14:27 ESV)
âNow may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you all.â (2 Thessalonians 3:16 ESV)
âIn peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.â (Psalm 4:8 ESV)
âAnd let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.â (Colossians 3:15 ESV)
â¤ď¸Make It a Habbitâ¤ď¸
âDo not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.â (Galatians 6:7-8 ESV)
I saw this quote from a friend and it speaks truth! We have two choices in life, conform to this temporary earthly life or be Christlike and keep our minds on eternity. When we choose then we must be mindful of how we love others as God has called us to do, even at a young age. This is difficult and it takes practice to not get sucked into gossip, rumors and discord. His Word also tells us that we will reap what we sow in life.
What are you sowing? I ask myself this same question as well.
âWhoever sows injustice will reap calamity, and the rod of his fury will fail.â (Proverbs 22:8 ESV)
â¤ď¸God Knows and Sees Allâ¤ď¸
âLet no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.â (Ephesians 4:29 ESV)
Gossip, this is a tough one and it happens in all relationships. How many times do we run to friends and family to talk about our hardships? How many times do we slander others for instant gratification? How many times do we hurt people because we feel justified to do so after being hurt? Well we are NOT justified! God said we shall all reap what we sow. We are to speak in kind tongues, not slanderous tongues. We are to live humble, compassionate lives to honor our Lord. We are to pray for those who hurt and persecute us. God already knows what weâre saying so let us be diligent in our prayer lives for others over using harsh words.
Today I pray that people of all ages seek Jesus first before seeking temporary sinful gossip that hurts those around them. This is a choice we all face and I pray we choose wiselyđđź
âA dishonest man spreads strife, and a whisperer separates close friends.â (Proverbs 16:28 ESV)
â¤ď¸Run to Himâ¤ď¸
I know many people hurting right now. People of all ages struggling in relationships, with finances, with work, with the conditions of our world and so on. This is why we must continue to seek our Lord. He is our strength, protector and our peaceâ¤ď¸
âThe name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.â (Proverbs 18:10 ESV)
â¤ď¸Do Not Abandon Your Faithâ¤ď¸
âNow the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.â (1 Timothy 4:1 KJV)
We are here friends! We are in the days of false preachers, watered down teachings of the Bible, changing Godâs Word to fit demonic earthly agendas and our youth being lied to about who Jesus truly is.
Many do not like Godâs truth because theyâve been deceived and want to live comfortably in sin thatâs been made to look normal. And many are leaving the faith because of Satanâs lies preached for many ears to hear. Therefore, stand firm brothers and sisters in Christ and remember that He was hated first and so shall we be hated for His Word. But continue to rejoice and share the Gospelsđđť
â¤ď¸His Perfect Love Saved Usâ¤ď¸
âBut God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.â (Romans 5:8 ESV)
âFor God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.â (John 3:16 ESV)
âWe love because he first loved us.â (1 John 4:19 ESV)
âSo we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.â (1 John 4:16 ESV)
âA new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.â (John 13:34 ESV)
â¤ď¸Raise A Hallelujahâ¤ď¸
Letâs raise a Hallelujah for the peace of Jesus Christđđť
When I am low, I pray!
When I am weak, I pray!
When I am worried, I pray!
When I am sad, I pray!
When I am lonely, I pray!
When I am confused, I pray!
When I pray, I receive peace!
â¤ď¸Always Be the Reasonâ¤ď¸
âBut if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.â (1 John 1:7 ESV)
And he said to them, âGo into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.â (Mark 16:15-16 ESV)
â¤ď¸Jesus Said Sin No Moreâ¤ď¸
Jesus never said continue to sin, He said go and sin no more. So many Christians and churches fail to realize or preach on this. They accept sin and continue to live in the idea that love is love and love yourself and be happy doing whatever they want. This was not what Jesus preached, this isâŚ
âAfterward Jesus found him in the temple and said to him, âSee, you are well! Sin no more, that nothing worse may happen to you.â (John 5:14 ESV)
âEveryone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness.â (1 John 3:4 ESV)
âFor if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins.â (Hebrews 10:26 ESV)
And Peter said to them, âRepent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.â (Acts 2:38 ESV)
âSo whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.â (James 4:17 ESV)
â¤ď¸Jesus Preached Repentanceâ¤ď¸
From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, âRepent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.â (Matthew 4:17 ESV)
Repentance was a big part of Jesusâ ministry. He spoke much on love, sin and repentance. We must not forget that we are all sinners and thatâs why we need a savior. Have you repented off your sins? Have you confessed to our Lord so that you can be cleansed from all unrighteousness? It is the best feeling of freedom, peace and joy! Stop hiding from Jesus. Stop holding back from repenting to God what He already knows about you. Heâs waiting for your confession with open armsâ¤ď¸đđť
âThe Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.â (2 Peter 3:9 ESV)
â¤ď¸My Only Peaceâ¤ď¸
My only peace is when I place my complete trust in our Lord. Itâs easy to do! Pray to Him with all your thanksgivings and worries and ask Him to take your burdens from you. Ask Him to protect your children. Ask Him to provide you with wisdom, peace and strength! He is a God of power and promises to those who seek Him with a righteous heartâ¤ď¸
âIf you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.â (John 15:7 ESV)
âAnd whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.â (Matthew 21:22 ESV)
âNow may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you all.â (2 Thessalonians 3:16 ESV)
âTrust in the Lord with all your hearts and lean not on your own understanding.â (Proverbs 3:5 ESV)
â¤ď¸This Is Why We Stand Firm in our Faithâ¤ď¸
âFinally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints.â (Ephesians 6:10-18 ESV)
â¤ď¸He Is the Oneâ¤ď¸
âThis is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.â (1 John 5:6 KJV)
Jesus Christ is the oneâ¤ď¸
â¤ď¸The Blood of Jesus Christâ¤ď¸
âIndeed, under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.â (Hebrews 9:22 ESV)
âHe himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.â (1 Peter 2:24 ESV)
âSo Jesus said to them, âTruly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.â (John 6:53 ESV)
âBut now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.â (Ephesians 2:13 ESV)
âIn him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace.â (Ephesians 1:7 ESV)
â¤ď¸He Means what He Saysâ¤ď¸
When I try to control situations I get frustrated and stressed. Does this happen to you? But when I pull back, pray and tell God I trust Him, I immediately feel peace. When He tells us to trust Him, He means just that! His Word is our instruction, our light and our answer to everything we face here on earth.
Glory be to God our Fatherâ¤ď¸đđť
â¤ď¸Fleshly Battleâ¤ď¸
When following Christ, every decision we make is a fleshly battle. From what we eat and drink, the words that come out of our mouths, how we behave in front of others and behind closed doors, to sharing the Gospels or not. It is an everyday battle!
Keep going brothers and sisters in Christ!đđťâ¤ď¸
âNow the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, or**es, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.â (Galatians 5:19-21)
âFor the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do.â (Galatians 5:17 ESV)
â¤ď¸We Are Made New in Christâ¤ď¸
âTherefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.â (2 Corinthians 5:17 ESV)
âTo put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.â (Ephesians 4:22-24 ESV)
âBlessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.â (1 Peter 1:3 ESV)
â¤ď¸God Calls Us to Stay Away from Darknessâ¤ď¸
âYou cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You cannot partake of the table of the Lord and the table of demons.â
âTake no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them.â (Ephesians 5:11 ESV)
âDo not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.â (Romans 12:2 ESV)
âBut test everything; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil.â (1 Thessalonians 5:21 ESV)
âSubmit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.â (James 4:7 ESV)
â¤ď¸Trust Godâ¤ď¸
If I could go back and tell my younger self one thing about my future it would be to trust God in every situation! Thatâs it, thatâs all I would say. Because when we trust God, He uses us for His Will and His purpose and then our purpose on earth makes sense.
Eight years ago today He did just that. He called me to write and I had no idea why or what made me so special to be chosen. Well, we are all special and hold a place in His plan! I want to encourage all of you to pray to Him to use you! He will use you for sharing the Gospels, for planting seeds of His truth and for leading others to Jesus Christ. This is the most important messageđđť
We have no idea how much our faith in Christ changes people. We have no idea how our words and actions will lead others to His throne. But we must keep going in pray, in love and in complete trust in Godâs planâ¤ď¸
â¤ď¸Grow Up in Godâs Instructionâ¤ď¸
âChildren, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. âHonor your father and motherâ (this is the first commandment with a promise), âthat it may go well with you and that you may live long in the land.â Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.â (Ephesians 6:1-4 ESV)
How many parents, fathers, raise their children up in the instruction of the Lord? I did not when my older three were young until I listened to the Holy Spirit to start going to church. At that point they were 4, 10 and 11. Introducing them to the Bible and Jesus was the best decision Iâve ever made. Itâs the best decision any parent makes! As our children grow then it is up to them to continue to walk in their faith or to turn away even with our continued guidance and prayers.
Keep praying for your children even if they are disobedient and have fallen awayđđź
â¤ď¸Baptisms are a Blessingâ¤ď¸
My son and I were baptized on August, 30 this year. We just received our certificates in the mail and we both just smiled when we opened themđ
I pray that you are all born again in Jesus Christ. They is no greater gift than the salvation that only He offersâ¤ď¸
âJesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.â (John 3:5-7 ESV)
â¤ď¸His Returnâ¤ď¸
âBut concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.â (Matthew 24:36 ESV)
âSo Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.â (Hebrews 9:28 ESV)
âBehold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of him. Even so. Amen.â (Revelation 1:7 ESV)
â¤ď¸If Youâve Left Jesus, Turn Backâ¤ď¸
âAnd rend your heart and not your garments. Now return to the Lord your God, For He is gracious and compassionate, Slow to anger, abounding in lovingkindness
And relenting of evil.â (Joel 2:13 ESV)
â¤ď¸Preparednessâ¤ď¸
âShe girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.â (Proverbs 31:17 KJV)
Parents, we are to lead our children and families to Jesus Christ. I fully understand this comes with hardships and division but we must keep going. Preparing our families spiritually comes first.
In my home, I have prepared for emergencies as well. This includes extra short/long term food storage, extra water and water filtration systems, candles, first aid, gas, small veggie garden, chickens, emergency cash and so on. God has provided by placing preparedness on my heart in 2019. If youâve been sensing an urge to start prepping as well, now is the time. You will not regret leading your families to Jesus and prepping your homesâ¤ď¸
â¤ď¸With All the Rumorsâ¤ď¸
âTrust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.â (Proverbs 3:5 ESV)
With all the rumors circulating our planet about wars, we MUST remember Proverbs 3:5. Trusting in God is first before we start relying on false media and our feelings. Remember, satan deceives! He is the master of deception and fear. But God is our peace and hope! Follow Godâs Word before you fall for the enemies lies.
â¤ď¸God Is the GameChangerâ¤ď¸
Putting God first in all we say and do changes everything! We go from negative thoughts, anger and stressful moments to peace and trust we cannot explain. Loving God first puts everything here on earth into perspectiveđđť
And he said to him, âYou shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.â (Matthew 22:37 ESV)
â¤ď¸Jesus Is the Wayâ¤ď¸
âJesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.â (John 14:6 KJV)
I pray that more people are waking up to Godâs truth everyday. We all need a savior and His name is Jesus Christđđť
â¤ď¸Hold Fast to What Is Goodâ¤ď¸
âLet love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.â(Romans 12:9 KJV)
Let us be vigilant brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ. Let us cling to what is good and hate that which is evil just as our Lord has commanded us. Continue to love and pray for all peopleđđźâ¤ď¸
â¤ď¸Itâs Difficultâ¤ď¸
I understand first hand how difficult it is trying to keep your children Spiritually awake and following Jesus in this deceived world. When theyâre young itâs easy to show them Godâs truth but when they grow and become deceived at college and around earthly friends, our job as parents is just beginning. Keep praying everyday for your children of all ages! Do not cease in prayer, love for them and sharing Godâs truth! We are the only ones who are going to pursue their hearts here on earth with the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
â¤ď¸Our Faith Means Everythingâ¤ď¸
âAbout midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.â (Acts 16:25 ESV)
Many times we often cry out to God in our trials asking why bad things are happening to us. But if we read and understand the messages from the Bible, we will see that we are to praise God in our trials, not blame Him. Paul was beaten, mocked, imprisoned, put on trial and so on but yet he sang songs of praise to our Lord! Why? Because our faith MUST be stronger than our despair. Paul shows us the importance of staying faithful until the very end. So when youâre feeling lonely, anxious, imprisoned by your sins, give thanks to God for He IS good! People are watching us! They are watching our reactions to this unholy world and we need to continue to point others to Jesus in our darkest moments. Your faith will and trust in Jesus Christ means everythingđđťâ¤ď¸
âFinally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.â (Philippians 4:8 ESV)
â¤ď¸Stay In Godâs Word Alwaysâ¤ď¸
âDo not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.â (Philippians 4:6-7 ESV )
âCasting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.â (1 Peter 5:7 ESV)
âCast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.â (Psalm 55:22 ESV)
âHave I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.â (Joshua 1:9 ESV)
â¤ď¸Keep Feeding Your Faithâ¤ď¸
âBlessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.â (Matthew 5:6 ESV)
Jesus said to them, âI am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.â (John 6:35 ESV)
âFor he satisfies the longing soul, and the hungry soul he fills with good things.â (Psalm 107:9 ESV)
âBut whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.â (John 4:14 ESV)
â¤ď¸I Pray that You Knowâ¤ď¸
I pray this day that you know Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, love you! He does and His sacrifice prices this. But He will not force you to love Him back. He waits for you day after day for you to knock on the door and open your hearts to Him. I pray today is that dayđđź
â¤ď¸Keep Reading and Prepare Your Heartsâ¤ď¸
âBut stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.â (Luke 21:36 ESV)
âBlessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and who keep what is written in it, for the time is near.â (Revelation 1:3 ESV)
â¤ď¸True Trustâ¤ď¸
At the end of each day, do you think about how your relationship with God was? Did you love Him and trust Him and pray to Him? Iâm pondering this right now myself and I can honestly say that Iâm getting better at putting Him first each day.
Talking to Him has been my therapy because He is my best friend and my Father. Acknowledging His presence in my life has become a daily blessing. I trust Him and this has led me to not live in fear in our worlds current state. I trust His Word, His promises and His loveâ¤ď¸ I pray that you trust Him as well.
