Third blog post!
www.ibbritta.com/blog/news-from-the-apocalypse-ii-part-1
Hey! long time no smell :)
I decided to start a blog that is connected to my website. This way we no longer depend on facebook/instagram to communicate if we choose to do so.
I have been less and less inclined to post on facebook because the algorithm is so jacked to limit views, so if you're interested in knowing more about the work and how everything is going come by the blog.
It has started today, so there's only one post for now, but there will be a new one every week and I want to start creating lists of resources as well. so let me know if you're interested in anything in particular.
see you there!

third baby. she's tiny and there's a different passepartout colour for us to judge.
I began and finished this one yesterday after waking up at 3:30h and working up until 18h. my neck hurts.
second one of the new series. I got some different coloured passepartouts to try out.

third and final lady of this new series ☆
this goddamned queen is the second piece of the most recent series.
new girl on the block. she's the first one of the latest series.
in the spirit of and lack of material here's this precious squirrelfriend from 2014. this piece is quite dear to me as it was a sort of seedling of the work to come.
to see her in a huuge format check out the collage section on my website and look for the "about silence" series. she's no longer available though.

snakes will pay you no mind when you're sick and wilting
instagram can't handle this. finished this girl yesterday and here she is now ☆ I used mainly books on egypt, I didn't understand why at first, it dawned on me that they have a different way of looking at death.

to my friends in Rio; I'm happy to share that the group show "Alzheimer", which I am a part of with a piece commissioned by ArtBio, opens on march 5th, at

being able to create this cover is one of the highlights of my 2019. I feel honoured to have met Marla who is a beautiful person and amazing musician. Her album is set to be released in March 2020 in Berlin, but you can already sneak a peak. Check out her ig account for the link to the first single!

I finally rebuilt my website. I had my old since 2013/2014 and I never loved how small the images were. now you can see them in a large format and with the collages specially that's a huuge improvement because there's so much detail.
this post is sort of a short 10 frame tour, but there's more and I'm still adding material so there's more to come.
scroll down the home page to see what's happening and to the "be a patron" section where you can find the mini tapestries, posters and more importantly where you can ask for the catalogue with available pieces.
this work doesn't exist without you.
aaand here's the second batch of embroidered genitalia tapestry. I'll be in Rio until 5/Feb and then back in Berlin. so if you're in Rio, the time to grab' em is now. lol
I've been rebuilding my website and I'm getting really excited about relaunching it soon. these babies will be there a long with the big boys and some new stuff.

I hate having my picture taken. I always look insane because it seems I get caught mid movement/expression everytime and my brain is a specialist in tearing me apart when I look through the resulting photos.
once a year I bully someone into sitting down with me and taking enough pictures so that I can find one I could comfortably use.
this is it; me in the 70s, mid self petting hand, hair doing it's own thing and my grandma's wardrobe.
thank you for the 📷, the patience and the understanding that it takes. haha
the first tiny embroidered tapestries are done :) all of them, with the exception of the v***a with the red thread background, are available 🌌🎠
