With the bright yellow color, flashing yellow and red lights, cross-view mirrors, protective seating, and rollover protection features, school buses are the safest way to transport students to school. School buses are also the most regulated vehicles on the road with required annual inspections and spot inspections by the Missouri Highway Patrol. The Carl Junction Transportation Department earned a 100% pass rate with their 50 bus fleet for 2021!!!!

Most of you are probably aware that our Chief of Police, Delmar Haase is retiring. His last day in the office will be Tuesday, July 6th. We wish all the best to the Chief in his retirement. The citizens of the City have always been at the forefront when decisions were made about the Police Department. The City of Carl Junction would like to thank Chief Haase for his 16 years of service to the City and its residents. If anyone would like to help us wish him farewell, there will be a reception for the Chief at the City Council meeting on July 6th at 7pm, it will be held inside the Community Center located at 303 N Main.

This Memorial Day weekend, I encourage you to stop and give thanks for those who have served our country. I can think of no better place to sit and reflect on how these individuals have served us, than at the new Veteran's Memorial, located in Carl Junction's Memorial Park. Our memorial pays tribute to five branches of our military, as well as honors our POW and MIA.
Found on Hickory Place. If you know the owner please contact CJPD at 417-649-7070.
