Yesterday, I was endorsed by my family led by our respected Ugass Hussein Ali Farah(Ali Bin ) and his four deputies to continue serving my people for the next 5 years.

I want to take this opportunity to thank the great people of Morothile Ward and also thank Ugass and his four deputies for having trust in my leadership.

The event was graced by elders, Women , youths, religious leaders among others.

Earlier today, graced the opening ceremony of Duksi/Madarasa in Morothile Ward. The religious center will be free for all poor and needy children from the entire ward.

Alhamdullahi, the Madarasa/Duksi was built by a Muslim brother and his wife from Saudi Arabia after numerous proposals by myself through Doctor Mohamud Yunis.

The madarasa/Duksi has six complete rooms, and In Sha Allah we are waiting for more to be built. They also built for us a very big mosque in the ward headquarter.

In attendance were; Sheikh Abdiweli, Sheikh Khalif, Religious leaders from the nearby wards, Women, and youth among others.

Mandera is among counties in North Eastern where drug and alcohol abuse remains high.

Recently, The National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse has identified bhang and Codeine, a substance contained in cough syrup, among the most abused drugs in the region.

Earlier today, Together with colleague Committee members on Public Service, Conflict Management, Cohesion Integration, and Devolved unit, We conducted public participation on the Mandera County Alcoholic Drinks Control, Bill 2021 at Mandera Peace hall.

Members of the public proposed a total ban on drugs in Mandera County, the committee will continue listening to different voices regarding the bill on Mandera County Alcoholic Drinks Bill, 2021.

In attendance were members of the public, Representatives of various institutions like the SUPKEM, NAMLEF, and The Council of Imams among others.
