In the year 2020 Lancelin Primary School will be celebrating 60 years!
We will be using this page to get in touch with past students and teachers, collect photos and memorabilia and to keep everyone up to date on our celebration details.

We are all so appreciative and overwhelmed by the support our Little Primary School received at our 60th Anniversary Celebrations on Saturday!
We have ALOT of Thanks to give as our event would not of happened without the amazing people we have living in this town!
Thankyou to the Lancelin Community Resource Centre for printing our event posters free of charge, You are an asset to this community and we are all so lucky to have you!
Thankyou to Principal Jemma Temby, Teacher Kirrily Skoglund and all other staff members that helped organise the event and gave up their time on Saturday to celebrate our school! We know how busy your lives already are, trying to run a school and teach the future of Lancelin, We can't thank you all enough!
Congratulations and thank you to our 2020 Student Council, who took charge and ran the day introducing events/acts and ensuring everything ran smoothly! You all did a fabulous job and should be so proud!
Special Thanks to Wheeler James for his acknowledgment to country! You spoke so clearly and you should be so proud of yourself!
Thankyou to Lyn McSherry for helping organise the day. We know your had your hands full with the Lancelin Buskers Festival but your local knowledge really helped us access information and spread the word to past students and teachers.

Special thanks to The Nelson family for supplying some amazing old photos of Lancelin Primary School being built and the Lancelin townsite in its very early days! The Nelsons Husband/Father, Eddie Nelson was the very first principal of Lancelin Primary School and we were so lucky to have his Wife and Children attend our celebrations.
Thankyou to Jake Michael, Emma Fewings and the Temby Family for coming down early to help set up for the day on Saturday!
Thankyou to the Lancelin Primary School P&C for supplying hotdogs and donuts to everyone who visited us on Saturday and for donating 60th anniversary pin to all currents staff and students of Lancelin Primary. It's a lovely keepsake that all will cherish.
Thankyou to Sheree From The Juicy Box for selling her lovely fresh juices and delicious hot coffee throughout the day and to Noel and Pauline from Zest Soft Serve Icecream for suppling endless amounts of ice cream to everyone all day!
Thankyou to all of the participants of our amazing Dinghy Parade! We had The Lancelin Ledge Point Football Club, Lancelin Angling & Aquatic Club, Lancelin Boardriders, Lancelin Volunteer Marine Rescue Group, Lancelin Fire & Rescue and their cadets, Lancelin St Johns Ambulance and the Lancelin District Community Association. You all went ALL out and gave many people a laugh and a big smile!
Thankyou to Peter Candido From the Lancelin Angling and Aquatic Club for the donation of his HUGE hand made wooden fish that was used as decoration on the side of their boat. we received $100 for it and the money will go towards next years Canberra Camp.
Thankyou to our 3 photographers of the day, Marise Abbott, Sally Hendon and Bev King. You all shot some amazing photos that the school can now add to their ever growing supply of memories. (See all photos attached)
A Big thank you to Paul Kilpin for painting our 60th Anniversary Mural. We now have a lovely piece of art to commemorate our celebrations.
Special thanks our entertainment for the day, The Wilson Family, Tasmin Mackay and Shae Digney! You're all so incredibly talented and we thank you for performing for everyone on Saturday.
Thankyou to the Endeavour Tavern Lancelin for hosting our after party catchup celebrations at their venue and for supplying all attendees of our anniversary local discounted drinks!
It was an incredibly generous donation that everyone appreciated.
And last but not least, thank you to everyone who attended, shared our Facebook posts or told past students, teachers or staff members about our celebrations! You all made it a celebration by being there and we are all so please at the turn out and have already had some lovely feedback about the day.
It was lovely seeing everyone catch up, reminisce and smile about the good times from Lancelin Primary School!

Peter Candido of the Lancelin Angling and Aquatic Club has kindly donated the Fish he hand made for the side of the clubs dinghy for the dinghy parade.
We are auctioning it off silently today and will close buds off at 3pm today.

๐น 60th Anniversary Mural painted by Paul Kilpin revealed at 11.40am ๐ผ
๐น Dinghy parade ๐ค starts at 12pm - local community groups have gone all out and decked their dinghys out in all things that represent their clubs!
๐น Live music ๐ถ throughout the day from the Wilson family who are current students, Tasmin Mackay a past student and Shae Digney, daughter of past student Hayley Forrester
๐น At 1pm the original school classroom/Kindy Pre-Primary Classroom will be open for 1/2 hour for you to reminisce ๐ญ
๐น Sausage sizzle ๐ญ and donuts ๐ฉ available to purchase in the undercover area thanks to the Lancelin P&C Association.
๐น Cold pressed juices๐ฅคand delicious coffee โ๏ธ available to purchase from Sheree at The Juicy Box
๐น Soft Serve Icecream available to purchase from Zest Soft Serve Icecream Van ๐ฆ

UNFORTUNATELY due to COVID-19 the fundraising bricks people have ordered will not be here or laid by this Saturdayโs celebrations.
We apologies to people who have already ordered bricks, they will arrive in January and will be laid then.
The beauty of them not arriving in time is that people who missed out can order them NOW with the following link to the brick order form OR at the school Library this Saturday 31st October 2020 at our 60th anniversary Celebrations!

Our Lancelin Primary School 2020 students and staff have worked together to make these awesome mementos to remember our 60th year!
You can purchase a tea towel or carry bag with each current staff and students self drawn portrait on! Tea towels are $15 and carry bags are $20
Order forms will be going home to all students today or they can be found on the schools website or in the front office!
