International Youth Day
I join in celebrating with the youths on this sdcc day, and also to remind them that they are the backbone of Nigeria. Remain patriotic to the Nigerian state because this is the only country we have.

However, as this day is being celebrated, we should remember the following concerns and commit to finding solutions to them:

1. Thousands of Nigerian youths, in attempts to escape hardship in the country to Europe, die annually in the Mediterranean sea; the co**se of some of them can never be retrieved.

2.Over one hundred thousand(100,000)children die annually in Nigeria due to lack of access to clean drinking water.

3. Budgets meant to improve the living conditions of the people are either being diverted or poorly used; the qualities of some of the projects executed are far less than the amounts mentioned and approved.

4. Young people have failed to form Budget Implementation Monitoring Committees that will monitor the levels and qualities if executed projects, and those diverted.

6. Crude oil is stolen in Nigeria, and the proceeds from oil for executing budgets are also stolen.

We all should know that a corrupt-free Nigeria will treat and serve us better than our so-called bosses. It is therefore to our own advantage to rise up and oppose corruption in Nigeria.
