Project and Resume Letter class is December 21st at fairgrounds
County Club Days is February 17th with snow date of February 24th
Regional Club day is March 25th in Atchison
YQCA needs be done by July 1st to sale an animal
County beef project meeting is December 9th at 430.
County horse meeting is December 9th at 6
Spring beef weigh in is March 9th
Spring beef show is March 30th at fairgrounds
2024 Fair dates are July 29th-August 2st
Hanging lights on Main Street was a success. A big thank you to all who helped.

FYI November 5th they will hanging Christmas lights up in downtown Valley Faals, with a back up date on the 12th. They are requesting us to help, more hands on deck make lighter work!

If you haven't turned in your RSVP for the Achievement Banquet on November 11th, they are due to the office tomorrow (10/23). If you can't get card and money to the office tomorrow, atleast email Michelle and Clay with how many and get rest turned in ASAP!
Also, 9 days left to enroll for the 2023-24 4-H year...if you have questions, ask!

If your child is planning on signing up for Shooting Sports, take note of following message:
With 4-H open enrollment upon us, all youth that are new to shooting sports in the Meadowlark District will need to attend the basic class that will be held on November 18 at the NEK Heritage Complex from 9-5. Parents/guardians are required for the morning portion of the class and highly encouraged to stay the entire day. All attendees will need to provide a lunch. A refrigerator is available. Questions, please email [email protected].
Make sure you make note of Project name changes when enrolling! Any questions, please ask!

We will be meeting today (10/2) at 6:30pm at the Hopper Hair (west end of Main Street) to decorate the window for national 4H week. Does anyone have window paint or something to decorate windows with? This will need to be something that we can wash off next week.
We will all wear 4H shirts on Wednesday (10/4)If you have a club shirt great if not wear any 4-H shirt.
This Friday (10/6) we will be setting up for Friends of Hospice. This will start at 5pm at the fairgrounds.
This Saturday (10/7) we will be serving and helping at the Friends of Hospice. This will start at 3pm. We need to know ASAP who will be attending. This includes members and adults as they will be feeding us pizza and need to know how much to order.
This is enrollment month. Please get enrolled early!!!
Our next month’s meeting is scheduled for November 5th at 7pm.
Council meeting is scheduled for November 27th at 7pm.

Don't forget clean up at the fairgrounds is tomorrow at 800....make sure sign in, usually in concessions area on picnic table! This counts for your sale requirements for next year if you think you may sale an animal then. If not sure what to help, ask someone they will get you a job.
We had a good night at the club goat (+ 1 sheep) practice.

Reminder we have our July meeting this Sunday at 6. We will need each child to be prepared to talk about 1 project they are taking to the fair!
We will meet at 5 to work on scrapbook! Kids needs to have their own pictures for their page. Leaders will have pictures of the different activities throughout the year!
Please, comment what side you will bring to go with pulled pork so we don't have a bunch of same thing!
If you haven't already make sure you get your pre entry done as it's due July 1. Also, sign up for concessions...good one to mark off for next year's Sale Requirement form!
Sale requirement forms are due to the leaders by this Friday!
This Sunday at 3pm is the goat and sheep workshop at the fairgrounds.
Fair entry is due by July 1st. Do not wait till the last minute to get entries done. If you are needing help with this please reach out to one of the leaders.

Prosperity started off the evening with a goat meeting. The kids learned a bunch and enjoyed pizza and had fun playing jeopardy.
Then we had a long meeting. Even though the meeting was long we had some great discussions and wonderful project talks.
Several Prosperity members showed great leadership skills tonight.

Congratulations to the Prosperity 4-H club on receiving top purple on their dance. They did an amazing job and worked hard on this dance.
