I cover the Timberwolves and Vikings for The Athletic. I also appear weekly on KFAN and podcast at T
Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards have the chemistry the Wolves have long needed.
Bond between Towns, Edwards is what KAT, Butler was supposed to be "I just appreciate when you've got someone like that who's on your side and the teammates all back you up," Towns said on Edwards.
Rick Carlisle stamps the Timberwolves: "They're one of the best teams on the planet."
'This is one of the best teams on the planet': Rick Carlisle stamps the Timberwolves The vote of confidence from Carlisle should not be discounted. He knows good basketball when he sees it, and he saw it Saturday night.
A stroll through his old neighborhood in Atlanta taught me a lot about where Anthony Edwards comes from. A scavenger hunt in Minneapolis showed me more about where he's going.
Heading into his fourth season, all eyes are on Ant.
At just 22, all eyes are on Anthony Edwards. Two cities stand behind him The one they call Ant Man is as real as they come, giving hope to his native Oakland City and to a long-suffering fan base in Minneapolis.
What a way for the Wolves regular season to end. They fought each other, then they fought the Pelicans. And they march on.
How the Timberwolves fought each other, then fought the Pelicans in a true must-win The final game of the regular season said everything there was to say about the 2022-23 Timberwolves. For better and for worse.
My tribute to the one and only, Bud Grant:
Hall of Fame coach Bud Grant's steely gaze defined more than just a franchise The Vikings' iconic coach, once known for his team's four Super Bowl losses, will be remembered by Minnesota fans for so much more.
Had a lot of fun seeing Towns, Wiggins and LaVine on the same team again.

A prophecy fulfilled: Karl-Anthony Towns, Zach LaVine, Andrew Wiggins together again at All-Star weekend 'There’s some questions like damn, what could we have been?' says Zach LaVine if the Timberwolves had kept their young trio together.
The audacity of Anthony Edwards

He got game: The audacity of Anthony Edwards, self-proclaimed 'Black Jesus' "He believes that he can win any battle, any game, any matchup," Timberwolves coach Chris Finch said.
Wolves have won 7 of their last 8. No better time for a live taping of the Jon Krawczynski Show with Jim Souhan at Tuttles in Hopkins at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 2. Stop by, have a beer and talk some Wolves/NBA with us!
When Anthony Edwards was grinding through high school, he would find his advisor's classroom during lunch, pick out a spot on the carpet and fall fast asleep. Life as a hooper and a student took its toll, but Edwards did whatever it took to get to where he wanted to go.
One of my favorite stories, on the intellect underneath it all.

The subtle strength of Anthony Edwards: 'Never stop, never quit, keep going' His second act in Minnesota promises to be even better than the first and no one who knows his work ethic will be the least bit surprised

A little bit of normalcy - having his father back in the stands - felt anything but normal for Karl-Anthony Towns.
https://theathletic.com/2486101/
Karl-Anthony Towns' father: 'To go to a game without her, I didn’t know I could handle it' Jacqueline Cruz-Towns and Karl Towns were mainstays at their son's games. Monday was Big Karl's first since his wife's death in April.
In a miserable Wolves season, the blossoming of Jaden McDaniels has been a bright spot. Tonight he will play his brother Jalen when the Wolves take on the Hornets.

Timberwolves' Jaden McDaniels is channeling his fire and becoming a building block in Minnesota Jaden McDaniels wasn't expected to contribute much this early. But the Minnesota Timberwolves rookie is making a big impression.

Krawczynski: The Timberwolves are getting exactly what they deserve Cole Anthony's buzzer-beating winner for the Magic wasn't one of the Timberwolves' typical hard-luck disappointments. They earned this loss.
https://theathletic.com/2330522/
While other teams weather injuries and absences, the Timberwolves have been failing the NBA's endurance test.
With losses piling up, Timberwolves are succumbing to NBA's endurance test With Karl-Anthony Towns out and a host of other obstacles, the Timberwolves have found no answers on the court as their struggles continue.
Rest in peace to one of my absolute favorites, Tom Hanneman. What a loss for all of us.
