It's Small Business Saturday! Support your community and shop local this season, and it's especially important to support small businesses this year!
Today was black Friday and we spent the day outside, avoided spending money, organized and did some minimal decorating for the holidays. It was wonderful. Happy long weekend everyone!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Here's a recipe for a sweet potato hash from our friend . It's savory and delicious, in case you're not feeling sweet potato casserole this year.
We made it in our wok, which is stove top and oven-safe, but any large, oven-safe skillet will do.
Make it: Fry up some bacon (or sausage if you want) in a skillet. Take the meat out and drain off some of the fat. Then throw diced sweet potatoes in and pop that in the oven for 30-40 minutes until they’re cooked. You can throw some spinach or kale in at around 25 minutes. Take the skillet out, make little wells, and then crack eggs into the wells. Put that back in the oven until the eggs are cooked how you want them. (We did 4-5 mins)
Enjoy!
These pretty woks are available for pre-order on our site!

Flashback to warmer weather and open doors in the studio
A year after moving into our home/studio a giant oak tree fell on our yard during a hurricane and it took months to cut up. Stack of firewood is that tree.

Metalwork is slow and requires precision... Like counting ballots... 😬
We make everything in small batches, never more than a dozen at a time. This ensures pain staking attention to detail in every design element and making process.
We've got gift cards!
::Long post warning::
This year has had it's highs and lows, and somehow it's already November. In anticipation of the holiday season we've designed a gift card and sticker that will come with every pre-order. We'll send these cards out right away to you or your loved one in time for the holidays, and woks will ship in April '21
Earlier this year, I was awarded a grant by the Winston-Salem Forsyth County Arts Council As the year draws to a close, I'm shifting my focus to that grant project. There's a lot effort to make that project happen, so I will have to set aside the wok making temporarily.
In the meantime, you can find woks in stock and (soon) or purchase a gift card and savor in the "good things come to those who wait" kinda feels
Another day at the office
Well, Hurricane Zeta knocked out our power, too. I hope everyone is staying safe and sheltered out there!
Somehow time has been moving by so fast this week, and I feel like I can't keep up. Maybe it's the late rising and early setting sun, or maybe the pre-holiday jitters. I think this is the first year I've been excited for time to "fall back"
It's been a busy month around here

This handle/connection design was the jumping off point for what's now the Rigid loop wok.
Had some fun editing these pictures with Lightroom and couldn't decide on my favorite. Let me know which one you like best in the comments!
