“Swanaford Sauna!!!!

OK, this might be one of the coolest things we’ve ever hosted. Devon Sauna Hub are bringing their awesome pop-up sauna to the vineyard on Saturday, 17th February. Book your spot, and have an (optional!) dip in the refreshing waters of the River Teign before retreating to the on-the-spot sauna.

Come solo or as a group. Swim or go straight for the heat. Detox, unwind, laugh, and chat. Get your places booked. We will.

Winter pruning is probably the vineyard job I moan about the most. Shin-freezing icy wind (yes, even your shins freeze) permeates boots, gloves, hats, and that gap between your jumper and your trousers. Brrrrrrr.

All 10,000 should be lovingly pruned by.... mid March. 🧊”

Our extraordinary vineyard team has fearlessly embraced the freezing temperatures to meticulously prune the vines. With over 16,000 vines already pruned, they have crossed the halfway mark and are now gearing up to tackle the remaining 10,000 vines before moving on to the next phase of tying the canes down.

“We are often asked how long our wines can be stored before drinking and we have been unable to give a definitive answer. On discovering this 2011 Red whilst reorganising the wine store we decided to try. WOW, delightful with strong blackcurrant aromas, smooth and velvety on the palate, probably the best of our red wines we have ever tasted. 13% natural alcohol, 70% Rondo 30% Pinot Noir Precoce. That's settled, you can lay our red wines down for at least 10 years.”
