Not even a pandemic can stop us from celebrating Emily Markert’s life and legacy in 2020! Emily’s Fight Donate Life 5K has been an annual event since 2014 and it will not be stopped this year. For the health and safety of all amid the coronavirus pandemic, we invite you to participate in the 2020 event virtually. Emily touched lives from around the entire nation and world, so it’s only fitting that in 2020, anyone from around the world can join us! We invite you to join us for Emily’s Fight Donate Life 5K any day in August!! If you don't run, we challenge you to participate in a physical/wellness activity of your choice; walk, kayak, bicycle, yoga - your choice!! Send your photo's to Emily Fight Donate Life page!!
To honors Emily's 6th year angelic anniversary, which is on Saturday, August 15, 2020. Her family will display banners, balloons, water and cupcakes along the bike trail at Twin Lakes.
So, join your family and friends and lace up your running shoes any day in August to honor the amazing life and legacy of Emily Markert and all donor families, recipients, and lives touched by organ, eye and tissue donation.

Attached is a picture of Emily running in her first high school track meet after her first lung transplant. This event welcomes all first time competitors and veteran runners. Emily always encourages everyone to give their best.
